Trusting someone,
Letting them in,
Pulling back the curtains,
Letting the sun swim,
Feeling the heat,
Against your body,
Feeling the fear,
As you wonder if you can trust this somebody,
With the secrets you like to keep,
With the emotions you never show,
With the parts of you that are the weakest,
Somehow you let it go;
The wall you raised when the first one broke down,
The windows opened with the creepiest sound,
The light came in,
Suddenly you were somebody,
And the one you told your secrets to,
They told you; "You can be anybody,
Even with your flaws,
Even with the pain,
Just try and you'll succeed,
You will win your own game"
And I'm glad I told them,
The secrets I thought were better left alone,
Knowing they believed in me,
I won.
