I'm in hiding,
Under a mask,
Behind the trees over there,
Watching you fall.
I'm failing humanity,
Because I can't stand the pain,
So I give it to someone else,
Hoping they'll survive,
Or just walk away.
I'm in hiding,
Behind myself,
Right over by the darkest colours,
Behind the one you know so well.
I'm hiding from the world,
From my friends,
From my family,
I can't breath without my mask,
Because without it,
I'm nothing,
That's why I wear it so well;
It's become my identity.
You didn't know, did you?
You thought I was just ok,
You thought even the slightest colour in my face,
Would never fade away,
I'm good at hiding,
Because it has become my life,
So if you ask me to undress my soul,
I'd rather die and tell you lies.
I'm sorry.
