Chapter 11 - Temptation

[Jimin POV]

I was shaking in fear, I didn't know what else to do.

Was I really going to loose to a person who's younger than me?

I saw my hands, my nails were coming out. What the hell...? Is he really trying to force me to turn into my vampire form? In the day!? He's forcing me!

I saw Yoongi running everywhere to find Mina, making sure Jungkook isn't going to her. He was still holding onto my collar. He was even looking at my neck, tempted to take a bite. I finally gathered all my strength to push him away.

Seokjin then came to the scene, and Jungkook turned around, gritting his teeth.

"Tch..." I heard Jungkook slowly walking towards me, pointing with his index finger. "You can't be called a vampire if you can't even take a sip of human blood, can you? That's why you're always weak."

I began to tear up. What is this strange aura causing me to feel sympathy?

"Jungkook, let it go." Seokjin demanded. Jungkook hissed at him, pouncing right at him, but literally when Jungkook was about to touch Seokjin's hair, he created a barrier blocking Jungkook's way.

"Hyung, let me just go!" We all heard. Where was that coming from? Jungkook wasn't speaking, neither was Seokjin. It's... like an echo.

I saw Seokjin smirk right at Jungkook, who was on the ground rubbing his forehead.

"I'm scared... why is this happening to me..."

I gasp. I'm getting this! Seokjin placed a spell onto the barrier that once Jungkook hits it, his thoughts start to come out. But, he seems so destructive right now, why is it that his feelings are so... heartbreaking?

Was it that... there were two of him? That once he is in his vampire state, his pure self is stuck within him?

This doesn't make any sense. He has another kind of evil inside of him, but not me? I'm... I don't understand.

Seokjin nodded, and put his hand onto Jungkook's forehead. Jungkook wanted to smack it away, but Seokjin then created a barrier around Jungkook.

"You're not leaving that until we understand what is going on with you. Then," He paused, closing his eyes, then opening them again. "I will offer my blood to you." I gasped, trying to run to Seokjin, but he smiled telling me to stop.

I dropped my head down, suddenly feeling weak.

Haha...

What the...

Who was that?

I clenched my fists, not looking at my nails. I looked up to the sun, it was blazing hot against me. The feeling of sadness began to overwhelm me.

You really think you were the only one with an alter ego...

That's when I lost my mind, and when I lost my own self.

[Yoongi POV]

I heard the crunches of the leaves while I ran. Where did Mina go?

That's when I saw her near one of the tents, trying to secure on of the plastic nails in the ground, the tent Namjoon and Hoseok were sleeping in.

"Mina, you can't go there. Okay?" I asked. I most likely sounded suspicious already.

"Why?" she asked me, trying to go past me. I placed my hand onto her shoulder. It was ice cold... like a vampire's.

"It's just..."

AHH.

We both jolted, hearing a scream from the area I just came from. Shit, what happened now?

"Yoongi, what's going on?" Mina asked, concerned. I began to think of ways to make her stop, but she just zoomed right pass me because she's vampire... obviously...

"Dammit, Mina!" I screamed.

I tried to catch up to her, but it was so tiring. Then, once I got to the area, I froze.

Jimin had the same problem with his eyes just how Jungkook had the same problem, except it was pure yellow. Yellow meant his heart was "clean", while red meant greed and agony.

"Jimin, it's better if your eyes were red like mine. Yellow is too... nice." Jungkook said, smirking within his barrier. Jimin didn't say a word and kept walking closer.

Bora stood there, with her eyes closed, trying to think of something. She was most likely processing her memories.

"Bora! Did you get anything!?" Seokjin said, trying to hold the barrier, but Jungkook was already trying to break it.

"I know! My mother said that whoever was cursed as a vampire always has an alter ego. She doesn't know why of course. It's because of greed and guilt they carry and that it transforms into an alter ego! A red-eyed vampire is most likely to have one." She tried to scream over the strong wind that blew around us.

I can't believe Jimin got sucked up in this mess now. He was so innocent, but what caused his alter ego to come out?

"Usually alter egos come out during the day, when they are eager for blood. This is why we never see their alter ego during the night because that's when they can gather their blood. She told me this is why the vampire race is very sophisticated than any other race." She explained. I groaned.

I clenched my fist, then looked at it. Will I just be a bystander for all of this?

Mina looked so scared, like this was going to happen to her as well.

I sighed, and went closer to her, then leaned to hug her in my chest. She didn't flinch at all, like... she wanted comfort after all this time.

I slowly placed my hand onto her head. What was I even doing? Taehyung, Bora, and Seokjin can see me. This strange scent of peach filled my nose... okay Yoongi what are you even doing?

"Seokjin, do you have any spell that can shut down a mind?" Bora asked. He shook his head, making her groan. Shut down a mind...? Was that even possible?

I'm scared... I want to have a normal life again...

I frowned, turning at Jungkook. His feelings that were being expressed, I felt so much sadness in my heart. What can I even do...

Hyung, I miss you... so much. I'd rather be with you, then in this wretched world.

That one statement completely shattered me. I also wanted to cry.

The memories of my caretaker began to come back. I looked at Mina, she didn't raise her head at all.

Bora then closed her eyes, putting her hand in the air.

"By the power of my mother! I am calling for a spell..." she then was granted a spell book right on her hands. She then had it float in front of her. I never knew she can do this...

"Give me a spell... that shuts one's mind." The pages kept turning until it landed onto a certain page. She can do this all along? I'm assuming the spell to convert us back is hard to do...

"Here you go... it'll shut it down the mind of an alter ego, 'specifically for vampires'... wow, so specific." Bora said unamused and placed her hand towards Jimin and Jungkook, who were looking right at her.

"I command you, alter egos of Jungkook and Jimin, to shut off!" Pink magic came out of her hand and went straight towards Jungkook and Jimin's foreheads, then caused them to faint.

I hugged Mina, tighter and tried to see if she was still okay...

After I looked at her, I saw her sleeping peacefully, smiling. I blushed, smiling too. I felt really happy all of a sudden. Was this really... love I was feeling?
