I'll protect you (Y/n and Lauren)

Chapter 10

Lauren Pov

I sit up in my bed and watch the sun rise. I never went to bed after last night. She is a wolf, it explains everything if the things in that book are true. I know I should be freaked out by this, but she has saved me and that means a lot to me. I need to let her explain.

I get up, get dress and head downstairs. I make food and I didn't realize I had not ate till I looked up and my dad had walked downstairs.

-"Morning Lo, you look more pale than usual" he says as he laugh. "Yeah dad, I actually going to go over to (Y/n)" I say. I grab my coat since it is snowing today and walk out the door.

I've been standing at her door for five minutes and I decide to go to the back door. I want us to take a walk in the woods. I knock and a few seconds later she opens the door.

-"Hey Lauren, you are up early" she says with a big smile. I show her the book she left and  turn around and start walking towards the woods. I can hear her following me. Once we are deep enough in I look at her. She is in shorts, a sports bra and tennis shoes, she looks like the cold doesn't bother her at all. Of course it doesn't she is a fucking wolf.

-"I want you to show me that what I read in the book is real" I say. She looks at me and she starts to talk. "Laur" she gets cut off by me, "no, just show me" I say.

She backs up and looks at me. All of sudden she run towards a tree and does a backflip. During mid back flip she shifts into the wolf. Once she lands she stands tall as a big black wolf with beautiful golden eyes.

-"Wow, it's true. You are a wolf. This explains a lot of the theories I have had about you" I say. She looks at me and I realize she can't talk to me.

-"Y-you are the wolf that saved me" I say and she nods. "Take me somewhere where we can talk" I say. She lowers her back and I realize she wants me to get on.

I hang on tightly and she starts running. She runs fast till we reach a cliff that views the lake behind our neighborhood. I get off her and she shifts back to human.

-"Now you know what I am Lauren" she says. "I am a wolf, an alpha of a pack. The world you thought only existed in books is real. This is who I am" she says.

-"Tell me everything, I want to know" I say. She sighs and sits down. I follow after her and she tells me everything about her friends, Camz, Mani, the man that tried to kill me, and what all comes with who she is. We talked for hours and when I started to get cold she pulled me into her and warmth spread all over.

-"Lauren I don't want to lose you, I can turn into a wolf, read minds, fight vampires, I can do things a lot of people can't. The one thing I can't do is stay away from you" she says looking me in the eyes.
I blush and I know I can't stay away from her either. This world is new to me, but I can no longer picture my world without her. I can't control myself around her and I have this warmth and actions I can't explain when she is near.

No words can explain what I feel, so I just kiss her. I kiss her till air became a problem. She smiles and I suddenly think of something I read in that book.

-"I am your mate right?" I say, she nods in response.

-"What does it mean then if I am a Luna?" I ask.

-"You have a certain amount of control over the pack and you're almost like the mother of the pack outside of Ally. You Keep them in line and help them." She says. I nod and think about all that has happened in the past month since they moved here.

Before we headed home (Y/n) shifted to a wolf and carried me home. On the way I thought about how I know (Y/n) will protect me, but something inside me tells me I need to protect her too. I have got a bad feeling about what awaits for all of us. But for now I am happy and have someone who is willing to risk everything for me, I just hope she knows I would do the same.
