Beginnings (Rise of an Empire) {Avatar/LoK: Avatar Wan}

Chapter Two: Enter the Empire

The citizens kept on bowing until the Earth King started to speak. "My name is Sohnin, and I want to thank you all for choosing me as your leader. As the first Earth King I'll provide everyone with plenty of food and oppertunities but most important: To provide the world with peace. The lion turtle granted myself with the power of Earth, as well as my daughter who will be the first to follow up to the throne".

After Sohnin mentoined his daughter, a tall graceful looking woman dressed in a green kimono stepped forward. "I want you all to meet my daughter Insaya". The woman bowed to her citizens. "She will follow my footsteps as the next Earth Queen. To celebrate this wonderful event, there will be a festival held that'll last for three days!"

The crowd started to cheer and soon enough Earth King Sohnin's name was shouted all over the city.

"Come on Mula, we have to find out how to get to power of Earth". Wan figured out that it wasn't as easy to be granted with an element as the other lion turtle cities. Sometime later Wan managed to get a nice place to stay and hid Raava in his teapot. When he was done settling his supplies he took a look outside and noticed a small clothing shop nearby.

"Time to get fancy!", he grinned as he approached the owner of the store. As the two chatted Mula got the oppertunity to 'pick' some clothes.

"Well, it was nice talking to ya", Wan waved as he quickly ran away.

Mula got away with a brand new tenue and a new red scarf. After dressing up he left his new stay to explore the city.

The festival already took off and there were several stands with magicians, shops, different kinds of food and many more. All in honor of an Earth King, Wan thought. He was interrupted by a loud voice.

"Ladies and gentlemen, come and see the magician Baru and his lovely assistant!"

Baru showed up after he bent himself out of a water bubble. It was obvious that he was an outsider since he was granted with the power of water. The crowd cheered and the magician made a deep bow.

After the cheering his assistant showed up and she made a quick twirl. Wan noticed that she was very agile, but something in her face made him recognize an another person.

The two performed a marvelous act and Wan cheered along with the others.

"Thank you all for coming!", Baru said as he disappeared along with his assistent.

Wan quickly made his way through the crowds to get some food until he bumped into the agile girl he saw during the show. "I- I'm sorry!", she said while looking in his eyes with regret. "It's oka-", Wan said until he looked into her dark brown eyes. A light blush appeared on his cheeks.

"Thanks for the cheer", the girl smiled, "it truly means a lot".

"You were great! And very talented too", answered Wan, "what's your name?"

"I- I think I have to go", the girl said and she suddenly disappeared.

That night Wan couldn't keep his mind off of the agile girl. He had to meet her again.
Something seemed really familiar.
