"Why are you introducing us like them being in my house is a normal thing?"
"Come on, Condy, they can help us. They're the smartest people I know." Devin pleads.
"Fine." They follow me down to the basement. "Here you go smart person, wow me." I slide the book to Kevin. I lean back and go through my phone. "Yo, I still have the twins as contacts." I tell Devin.
"Me too." He shivers. "Creepy, right? Let me see who else we both have." I hand him my phone. "Marisia." Oh right, in his world, she helped him, one of things that actually make sense with this whole thing. "Who's Javier?" I clear my throat.
"Javier?" I act with a confused tone.
"Yes, the Javier right here."
"Sorry I don't recall." I lie.
"Condy, were you cheating on me?"
"First of all, we didn't hook up, second of all, I met him while you were acting all crazy. And you must of met a Jessica or something." He thinks for a bit.
"Oh actually I did, her name was Jayvi. She just told me to meet her sometime for coffee."
"Wait so nothing happened, or anything?" I avoid eye contact.
"No. Oh my god Condy! Did you fuck him?"
"No, no, no! I didn't, I swear."
"I think I'm gonna be sick." He lays his head on the table.
"I didn't." I tell him again.
"What did you guys do then, huh?"
"He just gave me a ride to his house, we watched TV, made smores, and then we fell asleep."
"We fell asleep? I bet you cuddled with him." He does the throw up motions.
"Look, it's not even that serious, we weren't even dating at the time. And I'm not gonna lie, you seem jealous when I'm not even your girlfriend." I turn and realize Daniel and Kevin were amused by watching us.
"Why aren't we dating now?" He says smoothly and stares at me with his beautiful eyes. I swear he makes me weak.
"B-Because.....I don't want to date you anymore." I start getting a little upset.
"Why Condy, why though? I still love you and would never do anything to hurt you." He takes my hand but I take it back.
"Well I'm sorry I'm a little traumatized from when you kicked me in the face and would do anything for that rock. You were gonna kill Marisia's little sister, I saw you Devin, I saw you. Sorry that I can't so easily look past that, it's my fault of course." I feel like crying but hold the tears in.
"But that's not me."
"And how am I supposed to know that?" I storm off to my room and shut the door. Ugh, I hate everything right now! I lay face down on my bed trying to calm down.
Knock, Knock, Knock
I angrily open the door about to yell at Devin but it wasn't him.
"Hey." Kevin awkwardky waves.
"Can I just be alone ri-"
"I wanted to read the book with you, so I can ask questions if I had some." He scans my face trying to find an answer.
"Sure." I let him in and we sit on my bed.
"So I learned that even though your lives were mirrored not everything happened exactly the same. You both got the same opportunities but might of made different reactions and choices." He explains and I nod. He continued to explain things I never noticed before.
