Chapter 14

"Anyways, you should sit with me at lunch today?"

"Thanks Ryanne, but my friends are already expecting me to sit with them."

"Oh that's fine, see you tomorrow." She waves and I wave back. I head to my locker to put my books away before lunch. When I close my locker I see Devin smiling at me.

"It feels like we haven't had time to actually talk to eachother." He takes my hand and we start walking to lunch. Now that I think about it, it feels the same way.

"Why don't we talk now, how was your day so far?"

"I missed you all day so far. Nothing was as exciting."

"Awwww," I kiss him on the cheek. "after school we'll spend time together. Just you and me. Deal?"

"Deal."

At lunch, Marisia, Angie, Cici, Dani, Kev, Bruna, and Kyree all sat with Dev and I.

"Been on that phone all day boy, who you texting?" Cici takes his phone. Her eyes widen and he takes it back with a smile on his face.

"Who he texting?" Angie asks.

"A girl." She laughs. Devin raises his eyebrows at him and Kev chuckles.

"Dani boy got a girlfriend now, huh?" Kevin strokes his chin.

"She's not my girlfriend." Daniel tries to say with a straight face.

"Yet?" Devin asks.

"Yet." He clicks his tongue and snaps.

"Gotcha." Devin takes a sip of his soda.

"Oh we need to have a meeting." Daniel says.

"Why?" Kev asks.

"Just to close and verify anything."

"I guess." He shrugs then nods.

"Wait a meeting about what?" Angie asks raising an eyebrow. We all look at eachother then back at them.

"A class project." Devin lies.

"We have all classes with Daniel. What project?" Cici turns to him.

"Extra credit for Ms.Bosolm." He blurts.

"Oh, psh I don't need that." She waves it off.

"Cici, I have a D! What project?" She leans in front of Cici and worriedly asks Daniel.

"Uhhh, I forgot to ask her."

"What? Then how are you guys gonna do it?" Angie asks.

"She's gonna email it to me."

"Oh, Cici come with me to her classroom after school."

"K." Cici replies then stuffs her mouth with a fry. We all let out a quiet sigh of relief.

"Hey wassup." Javier slides into the seat next to Marisia and everyone says hi to him. He starts to have some conversation with Daniel and they start arguing about who's right.

"They like eachother?" Devin whispers to me. He swiftly nods at Marisia and Kyree.

"I guess so." I whisper back. They keep glancing at each other and are both smiley. Everyone seems to notice besides Daniel and Javier. He asks her if they had homework for a tecaher and the conversation just moved on from there. It was like they were in their own world and they were so cute. She laughed at all his jokes. I think they're gonna hit it off.

"They're good." Bruna mouths with a thumbs up.
