Beep beep, beep beep
I turn off my alarm and immediately dread having to go to school. I pick out my clothes and head to the bathroom. As I'm getting ready thoughts flood my head.
What am I even going to say to Marisia when I see her? I miss Angie and Cici so much but there's no way they're gonna interact with me this time.

I slowly walk to my bus stop wishing I could just never go to school again. I should just ask to be homeschooled. I remember that short period of time when I didn't despise Kyree and when he was actually not a bitch to me. But that's all erased.
I stand at my usual spot and wait for something to happen but nothing does. I turn to look at Kyree and he's already staring at me but doesn't say a word nor walk over. This is weird.
"Condy!" Bruna yells and waves as she walks up to me.
"Good morning."
"Morning to you too. Why so down?"
"Well I'm not exactly excited to be standing at a bus stop at seven thirty." She laughs.
"Come here." She takes my hand and starts walking me over to Kyree.
"What are you doing?" I panic.
"About to introduce you to my friend, he's clearly interested. He's been eyeing you the whole time I've been walking down the sidewalk."
"He hates me."
"What, how could he hate you? He doesn't even know you." She raises an eyebrow.
"Wait, you know him?"
"Yes, well this morning I realized I did. Memories started to come back and this morning, boom, he's been my best friend for four years." She has a huge smile.
"Wow, reality really does alter. Before you got here, be hated my guts but secretly had a crush on me. And his whole mom situation...."
"Yea, I really feel for the dude. He just needs someone that'll make him know that not everyone leaves him. I think Marisia would be a good fit for him but they don't really talk like that anyways."
"You know Marisia?" I get excited.
"Yea, she rides our bus."
"Great, because I need to talk to...." I lose my train of thought as my mind focuses on Kyree walking over.
"Hey Bruna."
"Hey Kyree, this is Condy, Condy, Kyree." He flashes me a smile and I awkwardly wave. I feel an arm swing across my shoulder and I look up to see Devin.
"Good morning." He says to me.
"Morning." Devin head nods Kyree and fist bumps Bruna. Shortly after Kevin and Daniel come down the hill to meet us. Now we're all in this circle talking to one another waiting for the bus to come. A few other kids stand not too far from us.
"The prison bus is here." Kyree says and we all turn.
"Prison here we come." Bruna locks arms with Kyree and marches to the edge of the sidewalk. Everyone climbs on and I sit next to Devin near the back.
"You OK?" Devin takes my hand.
"Yea, everything is just so weird. Remember that thing Javier said about reality altering? Now that Bruna's here, she's best friends with Kyree and he doesn't treat me like hate my guts anymore. I'm just a little anxious on what else changed."
"So far, it seems that things have changed for the better." He squeezes my hand.
"Condy?" I turn to the seat next to me and see Marisia.
"Marisia!" I hug her across the aisle.
"Wait, is everything OK now?" Her eyes glance to Devin for a second.
"Yea...Wait you remember everything?"
"Yep, shocking right?"
"That's crazy. Can you come to my house after school? I'll tell you all about it." I ask.
"I'll text my dad." She reassures me. We spent the whole bus ride babbling while Devin smiled at my enthusiasm. I walk off the bus with her dragging Devin along.
"Wait so, this whole time, where was I?"
"What do you mean?" She stops at her locker.
"You haven't seen me since, you know, so did I just not exist here?"
"Woah." She stops putting in her combination for a sec. "I haven't seen you until today and never heard your name around now that I think about it, that's creepy, I guess you didn't exist then." She gets her books.
"Dev, waspoppin." A guy daps him up and winks at me.
"I'll catch up with you later." He goes to walk with his friend and I hear a small part of their conversation before they get too far.
"Who's the chick?"
"My girlfriend." The other guys laughs.
"Sorry, I didn't know."
"I think I can already guarantee you, your life is gonna be pretty different this time around." She nudges my shoulder.
"Oh boy."
~~~~~~~~~~
"Angie, Cici, this is Condy."
"Hey girl." Angie says.
"Wait, so you're the new student? We're sweeping you up, you're our friend now." Cici hands me her phone with the new contact page open.
"I guess I am." I put my number in. Marisia and I give each other a quick look before turning to the teacher. So that's what I am here, a new student.
