Next day
I've gotten to the home, I was nervous when Mr. Knight dropped me off. I kept thinking about what other girls must be in there, their conditions, if the owners of the house were not going to like me, if they were going to be rude. Anxiety ran through me. My chest having a constant pain. That feeling when someone jumps out of nowhere and scares you, but it never stops. At this moment I was having an anxiety attack. Why now? I hated it. I couldn't keep my thoughts in place. No one likes me anyways. I should be used to people ignoring me, treating me terribly. It's what I deserve. I stared down at my wrists, what I saw wasn't enough. I noticed Mr. Knight coming around to open the door. I grabbed my phone quickly and waited for Mr. Knight to open the door. I felt like a snob. He stood behind the car, staring forward silently waiting for me to step out.
I stood, waiting for the man to close the door behind me.  The building looked old. A small white painted house stood, wood fraying from the sides the home screamed for need for a makeover. How could this be up to date? How could this pass regulation?
A women came down from the house stairs and approached the car. The lady was wearing a dress, Pink faded flowers circulated her waist. She was short but fairly chubby for her age. She came around the trunk where I made my way.  "Hello. My name is Miss Blake, that is how you will address me, always. I do not accept anything else. Remember this; I am not your friend, I am here for my job, nothing else. Im assuming you know your schedule?" She asks folding her hands in front of her. "Yes I do, Miss Blake." I say nodding my head. "Alright then. Get your bags, then head inside." I gave another short nod and continued on with the order I was given. She turned around heading inside. Quite the aggression for a small lady. I silently giggled. I reached to the back of the car grabbing my bags.
"You know Mr. Knight, she didn't even bother to even say hello to you." We both laughed. "Yeah, I guess she didn't. You going to be okay here? This doesn't seem like a happy home." Mr Knight says while dragging his mouth into a frowning face. "I'll be fine, I guess. I'll cherish the time I'm at Andrews and Sophia's home. " I shrug. "Why wouldn't it a be a happy home though? Because it has a very unhappy lady living in it?" I chuckle. "Well, I guess you'll find out. Or maybe you'll prove me wrong." He sighs.
We gather my two bags out of the trunk, "I can take it from here, thank you." I sigh. "Alright, I'm going in" I awkwardly laugh. "Goodbye,
See you tomorrow, Emily." He waves goodbye as I turn heading into the house.  "Goodbye." I wave and Mr. Knight does the same. I take my bags and head up to the house.

A little later I found out there was 3 other girls staying here also, all in my situation. Well, not exactly, they didn't all lose their family they way I did. One was given up for adoption, she was seven. The other two were taken out of their homes because their parents were abusive, the were so young, eleven and ten. I felt bad for the girls. I can't imagine what their lives must've been like. This place, honestly, kinda intimidates me.

Later that night we were all sent to bed. Curfew was 9:45. By then we needed to be in bed ready with the lights off.
