For almost fourteen years I'd looked after Rosetta, and never before had I failed to look after her. I'd taught her all the wandlaw and secrets of my trade that my father had taught me. I ensured that everything Dumbledore had told me not to tell her was kept secret. I'd loved her like she was my own child.
Over the past year, whilst Rosie had been at Hogwarts, I began to grow ill. I have always lived in fear of my shop, for it ha been my life for a very long time. However delightful my sister is, she payed no attention to fathers lessons. I know Rosie is the only chance for the shop, but I didn't want to deal her into it and make her feel forced. I wanted her to be happy and follow her dreams and heart, rather than be stuck here her entire life as I had.
I worry for her whilst she's as school. Almost every Friday I Dumbledore, Snape and her a letter, begging for every detail of what was going on. I knew Dumbledore and Rosie's replies would be the same; everything's fine father, you really shouldn't worry... there's no need to worry Garrick, she's a bright girl.
I could always rely on Snape to tell me the truth, however shocking. I knew that she's get involved with boys and I believed that she had to make her own choices, but the way she was going she was surely going to end up heartbroken repeatedly.
I didn't agree with those Weasley boys. Arthur and Molly are delightful, and Charlie had always been brilliant at supplying me with wand cores from Romania when Grig went to the middle east, but those twins...
I knew one of them jaded yore hands all over Lene. That girl was like a second child to me and a sister to Rosetta, and I don't want that Fred boy messing about with her. I trusted Lene to knock some sense into Rosie, but they're both going down the sane track, and it made me mad beyond belief.
Both of them were to come to the shop for the first few days of the holiday and then go to the Weasley's. Albus didn't want to leave Lene alone at Hogwarts for a long period of time as he had some issues to sort our regarding Nicholas Flammel regarding an Elixir of life, and he insisted that I got some rest regarding my 'detirating health.'
I just wanted my little girl back home safe were I could see her and keep an eye on her.
*********
Lene was trudging behind me, gasping at Fred Weasley or something. I just really wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone and everyone in our carriage on the way back to Kings Cross just seemed to aggravate me.
George was all over Angelina and visa versa. At one point she was rubbing her greasy hands all up his leg. When Lene and I went to the toilet half way through the journey, she told me I was over reacting and that they were just friends. Apparently everyone on the Quidditch team had to be mum chums.... ugh Quidditch.
Everyone in the carriage, (Angelina, Alicia, Fred, George, Lee, and Lene,) but they all felt the need to go on about it for what felt like the entire journey.
And that's how I ended up storming of the train, (yes, like a small child, shut up,) and walking off. I was glad to be spending some time alone with Lene, so we could just be best friends again without the boys. she was happy with Fred, yet George was a troll. No need to rub it in my face...
"Woo." Said a voice from her left. She turned to see the rotten Slytherin boy Sagar. She crossed her arms and glared at home. "You're in a bit of a huff.."
"No, I'm not." I said, trying to sound 'cool.'
"Why are your eyes that colour then?"
"What colour?" I hated my eyes. Why couldn't I just have been a normal witch, born into a normal family, who all look normal. I never saw how these shitty eyes could be a 'blessing' as Dumbledore and my fathers tell me on an almost daily basis.
