Chapter 10: Jenna's Party

"Haha, I still cant believe she felt for it!" Damien said, still laughing.

"I know right. Bro i'm just happy that we got the dress. " I said, holding the dress in front of me in awe. 

" Well, i'm just glad that we found something for her. Babe." He said, looking at me with a grin on his face. To be honest, that actually had a good ring to it.

" Babe? Okay." I said, and I think i'm blushing.

"Mmhhmm, well you wouldn't be blushing. " He said, then he started laughing.

I looked away so he won't see me red. I can't hide it anymore, I fell in love with my best friend. This day can't get any better.

Me and Damien stepped in the party together. Once we opened the door, loud music boomed and different colored lights pointed everywhere. Everyone was dancing, laughing, and singing, that's when I knew we were late. We were so caught up finding Jenna a beautiful present that we forgot about the time. We knew everyone here while we passed through the crowd because they all went to our school. We waved, said hi, and smiled, but we were really looking for the birthday girl. 

" El! Damien! Over here! " Then we saw Tanner yelling at us to come over to the second floor.

" Hey, what took you guys so long? You know you guys are like fifty minutes late !?! " He said, bringing us to Jenna.

" Well, lets just say we lost track of time " I said. Then we finally stopped walking and saw Jenna.

" OMG! I thought y'all forgot about my birthday! Where were you guys !?! " Jenna yelled.

" Oh and yeah, she started crying for a little while because she thought you guys weren't coming. " Tanner said, while hugging Jenna from the back.

" Sorry about that, we had to find you a birthday present. Of course our birthday girl has to get a gift on her important day. " Damien said, giving her the bag that has the dress in it. She started opening it then she  said, " Oh my gosh!! It's so cute!! " 

" Thank you guys so much, I love it. " She came toward both of us and gave us a hug. Once she started to let go Damien said, " Thank El, she actually picked that out for you. She's got style hu?" Then he looked at me and gave me a wink.

" No. Damien payed for it. " I said giving him credit. 

" Yeah, but we split it remember ? Haha, I still can't forget how she thought we were a couple. " 

" Wait what !?! Tell us everything that happened. " Jenna and Tanner said in the same time.

" Uhm, well. We didn't have enough money to buy that dress because this boy over here forgot his wallet at home. " I said, looking at him with a big smile on my face.

" Hey, look we were gonna be late okay. I think I just forgot about my wallet. " He said, then we both started laughing.

" Yeah, sure you did. " I said, rolling my eyes. We still couldn't stop laughing about what happened. 

" Hey! Are you guys gonna tell us what happened or what !?! " Jenna yelled. I forgot they were there listening to us. I think I was to busy, just talking to Damien. Just me and him.

After we finally finished explaining, laughing, and asking questions about how we got her dress. Damien and Tanner were talking about something, while me and Jenna went down stairs to the kitchen to look for something to eat, for the four of us. 

"So tell me everything that happened ?" Jenna asked. 

"What do you mean? He told you everything." I said.

"Yeah. HE told me everything. How 'bout you, whats your story?" Jen asked. Then I just looked at her, than laughed. "Oooohhh!! I know that laugh! You have something juicy to tell me don't you. Spill!" She yelled.

"Okay fine, lets just say I've had the best day ever. I felt butterflies in my stomach each time I look at him, or even if talk about what happened. Now I feel comfortable as ever when i'm with him, like i'm safe or something." Then I just look at her with a grin on my face, signaling what I feel, and this is actually the first time I've ever felt like this. And I have to admit, I think I like it.

" Omg!! Ella Parks! You, are, in, love!!" She yelled so loud, even the booming music couldn't stop the people looking at us.

"Ssshhh! Keep it down, I don't even thinks he likes me. So i'm trying to keep it cool so I won't hurt myself by getting my hopes up. Also he doesn't even know yet, and I hope it stays that way." I said looking at her with both of my eyebrows up so she could get the hint.

" Okay, okay. But you can't keep it from him long enough, you know that right?" She said. 

" I know, I know. I'll tell him some how, but the problem is I don't know when."  

" Well, I hope it's not too long that you guys are old and die alone ,because you didn't tell him that you liked him. " 

" Who know's he might now even like me. " I'm really trying to keep it low.

" Who know's, maybe he does." She gave me a wink and went to the desert aisle, while i'm heading back upstairs. Then I hear Damien's and Tanner's conversation. I would say hey i'm here, but nah I wan't to hear what boy talks finally sounds like.

" Bro! Just tell her already. I think its obvious that she likes you already." Okay that was Tanners voice, its not as deep as Damien's.

" Well I hope so 'cause it took me five years to just to get her to like me." Damien said. Well whoever this girl is, she must be very lucky to have a guy like Damien. "Bro. She might not even like me so I don't know when to tell her." Haha, That's funny. That's the same thing I said to Jenna earlier about me liking Damien.

" I just don't want to ruin what we have. I love Ella so much I don't want to loose her. What if she thinks it would be weird. Her and her best friend dating." Damien said. Oh my gosh. I'm the lucky girl he likes. 

*cough* *cough* "Here are the snacks, who's hungry?" I said, pretending like I didn't just hear there conversation. 

"Ugh, me. Bring it over here El." Tanner said, while rubbing and pointing to the table right in front of him for me to place the plate. 

" Hey you okay? " I asked Damian. 

"Yeah i'm fine. Its just that did you hear what we were talking about earlier?" He said, looking into my eyes worriedly. 

"Uhm, no. I just got here, well upstairs I mean, to bring you guys the food." Nice one El, I said to myself. I hate lying to him.
