She stood still as I go by. This is how it's always going to happen and yet no matter how many times we have gone through almost the same things over and over again, it would always feel like meeting her for the first time.

Strange. This day has been uneventful till this note came floating its way towards me and landed on the ground when I coincidentally step on it. It's only been a few weeks since the fall quarter started and I didn't expected strange to come forth so soon. I try to look around to see if anyone's looking for the note or at least give me any hint of something that someone has lost it but found none.

"How could someone disregard such beautiful thing?" I said to myself. For some reason, I placed the note inside my notebook and stuff it inside my bag. Just as I zipped my bag, someone called out to me.

"Vita!" I look up and smile when I saw my brunette roommate Morgan. "Come on, we'll be late for geology." She continued as her blue eyes watch me carefully as I walk towards her, hands wrapped around her books.

As we walk towards our next building, I was so busy talking to Morgan about our homework in Geology that I accidentally bump into someone.

He was so strong that I have almost landed on my butt if he hadn't steadied me with his arm. I thanked him when I got my balance and smile.

"No, it's quite alright." He said. Having an Italian blood into my veins, I get to be so keen on an Italian accent even in the faintest one whenever I hear it. Sure enough -when I get a better look at him- he looks exactly like an Italian man. "Although I must apologize for bumping into you." He smiled. He looked at me with vague familiarity that vanished as soon as it appears and replaced by a hint of shyness.

I wave my hand a little, suddenly feeling a little nervous by his presence. "I wasn't really looking to where I'm walking anyway." For some unknown reason, I'm staring at his beautiful chocolate brown eyes and everything else slowly faded away. That is until Morgan nudges me on my arm that woke me from my reverie. "Oh, uh, we should probably go. Bye." I waved and continue to walk with Morgan without waiting for him to wave back.

When we're out of earshot, she leaned close to me and whispers "What was that all about?"

I was at lost for words for a few seconds but spoke when I found my voice again. "I have no idea."

Just a few minutes till Dr. Gordon dismisses us, my focus shifted to the edge of a paper that seeped out in between the pages of my notebook. I already know what it is but I pull it out anyway, rereading the words as If I haven't read them earlier.

I know I have no experience when it comes to relationships but reading this note already makes me feel so special. Wouldn't it be amazing if I found out who wrote this and to whom he writes it for? Well, I wish it was that easy.

I sighed and try to focus on the remaining minutes of the discussion. But that feel of familiarity came back to me again when I looked at it once more. I have a very strange feeling that I know this handwriting.

All thought was interrupted when Dr. Gordon dismisses us. "Class dismissed. Enjoy your weekend." He said. I clean up my desk and wait for Morgan by the door.

"You still up for tonight?" She said when she walked up to me.

"Sure. I have nothing better to do anyway." I said nonchalantly.

Four nights ago, Marie, Kaitlyn, Morgan and I planned to meet up at this pub we usually hang out with. We've been friends since freshmen year but got drifted apart when Marie and Kaitlyn got transferred to another building.

While we are in the middle of catching up, Karl walks up to me. "Guten Abend, Fräulein Heisenhoff."

I roll my eyes at him. "You didn't have to speak in German you know. After all, we're in America."

He smiled at my friends and all of them averted their eyes at him. "Can we talk privately?"

"Can't. This is a girl's night." I said firmly without looking up at him.

He stood still for a few seconds but when he felt that I wouldn't budge, he walked away. I heaved a sigh of relief.

"I'm so proud of you, V!" Chimed Kaitlyn when Karl was out of earshot.

"Yes! It's been a big improvement from looking at him from afar. Watching close as if any girl that nears him makes you wanna drag them out of the building." Said Marie before sipping her drink.

Morgan chuckled. "Ugh. It's finally a relief to not hear her cry every night!"

Karl and I dated a few months back but I broke it off only after 7 months when I found out that he's been conspiring with my parents back in Germany. It's a long story that I hope to avoid dealing with over again. Besides, I owe my friends months of hangouts since I wasted 2 months of moping around and almost regretting ever breaking it to Karl.

"Guys, let's not spoil our night together! Forget that schmuck and let's have a fun Friday night!" I finally said.

Tonight, I will not let a single drama seep into my mind to potentially ruin my time with my friends.

We all clink our glasses and enjoy the rest of the night.

The next morning I woke up remembering probably the strangest dream I have ever remembered. I expected a hangover but instead in my dream, I was brushing my auburn locks in front of a mirror when a familiar voice called me Simonetta. I was wearing what seems like a medieval red dress, ornate with pearls around my neck and most of the surroundings are a blur, although I couldn't remember the face of the man who called to me. Hmm.. Odd
