I turned off the stove top and peeked into the cast iron pot. My soup was simmering nicely. The aromas of basil and garlic must have eventually reached Heather because she came wondering to the kitchen. She peered over the counter curiously.

"What's that?"

"It's a special treat from me to you, babe."

She smiled a bit and yawned "It's getting late, are you planning on staying the night?"

I looked at her over the kitchen bar.

"Would that be alright with you?"

"Yes, of course." She looked away as her face turned a bit pink. "It's just that there's no guest room..." She said shyly.

"I know." I grinned and watched her reaction.

"Oh my goodness Luke!" She spun and gasped. "We are NOT sleeping together!"

I chuckled and mock pouted. "Okay fine!"

She got two glass bowls down from a cabinet and held them as I spooned my delicious concoction into them.

We sat down together at the breakfast table with our food.

"Soo, how's it taste?"

She sipped a spoonful and then sighed. "My god Luke! You need to come cook for me more often."

I smiled and took a few bites of my own "Deal."

We finished eating surprisingly fast and sat down on the couch together.

Her toes caught the hem of my shirt. "Ooohhh!" I shuddered. "God those are cold!" I grabbed her feet and tried warming them in my hands. She squirmed away and giggled.

"Hey come back here." I grab for her feet again.

"Noo I'm ticklish!" She scrambled away from me.

"Really? You probably shouldn't have told me that."

She freezes. "Why..?"

"You'll find out soon enough."

"I swear to god Luke if you try tickling me!"

"What? What's a little thing like you going to do?"

She smiles mischievously. "You'd be surprised..."

"Reeaallyy."

"Oh yes." She climbs across the couch to me and stops inches from my face.

"You have no idea what I can do to you." She purrs.

I shiver. Her hand is on my knee.

She pulls away suddenly and laughs. "I'll go get some popcorn."

"Why?" I ask softly, still trying to regain my composure.

"Um isn't it obvious? Horror movie marathon!!!" She leaps up and runs to the kitchen.

I cover my face with my hands. I'm burning up, there's no way she didn't see. Ughhh she knows exactly what she's doing!

I look down. Great. Now I'm going to have to keep a pillow on my lap all night.
