Heroes Legion: "Year One": Episode 8: Sumo Unleashed!

Chapter 7: Sumo vs The Dark Elite

Abandoned Historical building, 27th floor, September 15th, 2013: 11:10 PM

Up on the top floor of the abandoned building, the last remaining members of the Dark Elite were looking in on the Heroes Legion and Hiro Nakajima/Sumo's progress via one of Judas Black's "Viewing sphere" spells.

Although Meta-Master was intrigued to finally see Hiro Nakajima for the first time in his super form, he couldn't help but be a bit miffed that three of his crew had gone down within a half an hour at most!

What was the point of splitting the group into pairs in order to ambush or at best wear the Heroes Legion down enough for the heavy hitters to wipe them out, if the first group couldn't even hold them off for no longer than a half an hour?

Meta-Master wasn't the only one who was peeved about the whole situation.

"See!" Black Knight scoffed, "I told you that you should have sent ME down with Sonar instead of Dominatrix. I could have ended it all right there, even Shadow Knight was down!"

"Your obsession with that Metahuman is going to be you're undoing" Meta-Master said shaking his head in frustration, "now go make yourself useful by going with Judas and get the advantage in this battle back onto our side and in our favor by getting the trap ready!"

Meta-Master then turned and looked at Hiro's Parents, who were bound and gagged behind him, with terrified looks on their faces.

"you're boy should be here any moment" Meta-Master assured them, "so you'd better take a good look at him when you do, because by way of either being dead or coming with me and my Dark Elite...it will be the last time you ever see him".

Four Minutes Later...

The Heroes Legion and Sumo finally reached the top floor, where Meta-Master said he would be waiting with Sumo's Parents.

They were taken aback to see that it was empty, like all the other floors past the floor where they left Dominatrix, Depth Charge and Sonar behind on.

This was very suspicious.

"Where are they?" Raven whispered.

"I don't know" M-Leader responded, scanning the area inside the penthouse room for signs of danger or the presence of the remaining members of the Dark Elite, finding nothing.

"Maybe they tricked us" Silicon suggested, "maybe he and Sumo's parents were never here?"

"No..." Atlanta shook her head, "he wouldn't put us through this for nothing. He's too cunning for that. Somethings off"

"I don't sense anything either" Shadow Knight also said after scanning the room, "but I suggest we approach with caution...I don't like this!"

"Agreed..." M-Leader nodded, and then motioned with his fingers, "everyone, enter slowly and silently."

The Heroes Legion and Hiro Nakajima entered the penthouse suite of the old abandoned historical building.

The stopped when they reached the middle of the room, and looked around the area again to find nothing, not even a trace that anyone was or had been in this room in the last few days or so since the 1930's.

"It's quiet" Robo-Warrior whispered to his teammates.

"Too Quiet" Silicon agreed.
