It was time. Hades could finally claim his queen.
He felt a twinge of regret for missing Persephone's ceremony, but he justified his decision, believing it was the right course of action. Deep down, he suspected that Persephone viewed him as nothing more than a dream or a product of her imagination. This, he mused, would make it easier to take her.
"Messiac!" he called out, summoning one of his servants. In an instant, Messiac appeared before him.
"Get my chariot ready. I'll be speaking to Zeus about the mission. When I return, I want the chariot prepared and waiting," he commanded. Messiac nodded in understanding.
With that, Hades teleported himself to Olympus.

"Zeus..." he called out as he arrived. The king of the gods stood from his throne and approached him.
"Brother, I didn't see you at Persephone's ceremony. Still busy planning how to abduct her?" Zeus's voice echoed, though they were fortunate that the other gods and goddesses were absent, leaving this moment to just the two of them.
"It's time," Hades stated, and Zeus sighed, clearly reluctant.
"Fine. What's the plan? What do you need me to do?" he asked.
Hades laid out the details of his plan, explaining that while it would be straightforward to distract a mortal, it would be far more challenging to do so with a goddess like Demeter.
"Okay, so I just talk to Demeter to distract her, and then my job is done?" Zeus clarified, and Hades nodded.
They teleported to the back of Persephone and Demeter's home.

"Go now..." Hades commanded, watching as Zeus prepared to enter the house.
"How sure are you, Hades, that Persephone will escape through the window?" Zeus asked, skepticism lingering in his voice. Hades smirked confidently.
"Of course she will. Who wouldn't want to escape if they'd been locked in their room for over a decade?" he replied, rhetorical confidence evident in his tone. Zeus nodded in agreement, then sighed as he walked toward the front door.
As Zeus engaged Demeter in conversation, Hades quickly opened the window and teleported back to his original location.
He watched the scene unfold through the flames flickering in his hand. His instincts were correct; Persephone would escape, heading toward the forest where Demeter's watchful gaze wouldn't reach her.
With a flick of his wrist, he planted a black flower, adorned with shimmering black diamonds along its stem.
As Persephone wandered into the forest, Hades observed her gazing at the flowers around her. When her eyes landed on his creation, he commanded Messiac and Dailor to get ready for the reveal.
Just as she touched the flower, Messiac and Dailor materialized in a plume of black smoke before her. Seizing the moment, Hades teleported himself behind her.
She gasped and stumbled backward, colliding into him.
"Hello, dear. As I promised, I have returned," he said, allowing himself to be enveloped by her captivating scent.
"Come..." he urged, extending his hand to her.
