There is a statue of Selena Quintanilla in Corpus Christi, Texas. It is called Mirador de La Flor. It is a bronze statue of Selena looking at the not-so-distant water with a sculpted white rose and an inscription reads "Her stage is now silent. Yet, her persona enriched the lives of those she touched and her music lives on ..."
Shane and Jugatxi watched from afar because it was surrounded by tourists and families taking pictures. They read the bricks that were inscribed to everyone that had donated to the making of the statue. Many of the bricks had the message "We love you Selena" and eventually made their way to the museum.
Shane and Jugatxi made their donation and received a tour of the museum. They could see her different outfits, including the purple one she wore at her last performance in the Astrodome of Houston and the white dress she wore when she got her Grammy. Her porsche was also displayed, and the tour ended in the recording studio where she had recorded "Dreaming of You."
Throughout the progress of the tour, Shane was remembering small details that he seemed to already know. "There are a few more places we have to visit," Jugatxi told him.
