Nice to meet you

~Hinata's POV~
It was really quiet when we entered the classroom. The boys stared at us and we stared at them.

"Neji" i said breaking the silence. "Hinata." He said. "Wait wait wait wait wait! You guys know each other? Neji you do realize that they are the popular girls right?" Said the blonde guy. I looked at him in the eyes. To me he had the most beautiful eyes. It was blue like the sky or the ocean and I liked it.

"She is-" Neji said, but I cut him off. "W-we are cousins" I said. Neji frowned. "Oh" the blonde said. "M-my name is Hinata!" I said, but I was really nervous so I kinda yelled it out. The blonde guy smiled. "My name is Naruto Uzumaki!" He yelled it out too. I smiled at him. "Nice to meet you N-naruto!" I said cheerfully. We started to talk about random stuff. It felt like I knew him all my life, like he was my best friend.

We were really into our conversation that we didn't notice everyone staring at us. When we finally noticed I started to go red and stuttered out a sorry. Naruto looked kinda embarrassed too.

"What are you doing here?" Neji asked. "We were running away from something" Sakura said. "Something?" Sasuke asked. "Fans" Tenten explained. "Oh" they said. It was quiet again. I thought of breaking the silence again by talking with Naruto but Sakura beat me to it. "I'm Sakura." She said. "We know" Sasuke said. "Oh right...we're popular..haha totally forgot.." Sakura said. I saw Sasuke looking at her with interest. "Well I'm Naruto, that's Sasuke, Neji, and Shikamaru" Naruto said,"and we are the geeks of the school" "Hello! I'm Ino but I'm pretty sure you knew that already this is Sakura,Hinata, and Tenten" Ino said.

"So how does it feel like to be popular?" Naruto asked. "Well...people think it's awesome and you get everything, anything, and anyone. But you don't" Sakura said. "What do you mean by that?" Shikamaru asked. "What she's trying to say is, being popular could be a pain in the butt" Ino explained. "How does it feel like to be a nerd?" Tenten asked. "It's okay I guess...but people bully you and make fun of you...but you get to be yourself!" Naruto said. " Sometimes I which to be who I really am..." Sakura murmured. But unfortunately for her Sasuke heard her. "What do you mean by that?" Sasuke asked. Sakura's eyes widened and she looked at the window. "Nothing.."she said softly.

It was quiet yet again. I got bored so I started a conversation with Naruto. Then a few minutes later I saw Neji and Tenten talking, Shikamaru and Ino talking quietly, and Sasuke and Sakura having a conversation about something.

Probably about what Sakura said earlier...

The bell rang but no one came in to class. You see our teacher, Kakashi Hatake, always comes in late (except in Friday's. On Friday's he's only 5 minutes late) so no one bothers to come in early for class except for the nerds and Sakura, Ino, Tenten, and I.

A few minutes later students came into class. I chose to sit beside Naruto so I can keep talking to him. He's really friendly and funny. I don't get why no one likes him.

Then Kakashi-sensei came in. He made some weird excuse about being late. Then kakashi-sensei said something that caught my attention. "This year you will have only one partner for all the projects and what's more is that I will be the one to choose your partner" Kakashi-sensei smiled (actually I can't really tell if he was. He always wears that mask)

I waited for my name to be called. A few minutes later I heard Kakashi-sensei say my name. When he said my partners name my heart skipped a beat...

"Hinata Hyuga and... Naruto Uzumaki... you two will be partners for this year"
