The big day

Wow this story is almost gong to have 5k views! Thank you very much for reading "Nerds"! Sorry for taking such a long time to update. I actually have a test tomorrow on math! Now, on to the story!

—Sasuke's POV—

I walked down the dark hallways along with Sasori and Kisame with guns in our hands. A few minutes ago we were all ready and set for the plan. Itachi and Shisui stayed cooped up in a room full of gadgets and electronics. Father and half of the Uchiha men stayed in the police headquarters, waiting for Itachi and Shisui to give the signal. And Sakura was holding the big case of fake money, ready for action. That was the last time I ever saw her.

The plan was going perfect. Sakura drove to the abandoned storage room and dropped of the fake money. Sasori, Kisame, and I stayed in a mini van, looking through a video camera that we set up earlier at the abandoned storage room. It was in a perfect angle; able to see every person and corner in the room. Sakura yelled something, probably yelling for them to come out, and a person stepped out if the shadows. It was Orochimaru-sensei. Behind him was an orange haired man with piercings on his face, and on the other a man with deep forest green hair. Half of his face was painted black, while the other, white. A yellow eye patch covered his right eye. Behind Orochimaru-sensei was a masked man, but I could see a strand of grey hair coming out from behind. My mother was also with the masked person. She was struggling and had a cloth on her mouth, preventing her from screaming. Sakura bravely stood, no fear was seen on her pale face and emerald eyes. Her hands were tightly secured on the handle of the case.

It all happened in a flash. The orange haired man pinned Sakura to the ground; causing her to drop the case. She struggled and tried to break free. The half black and white man magically appeared in front of the case and then magically reappeared besides Orchimaru-sensei again. The masked man knocked my mother out. He walked slowly over to the orange haired person and Sakura. He took out a handkerchief and sprayed something on it. He pressed it against her face, making her breathe it in through her mouth and nose. In a few minutes Sakura's eyes closed. She stopped struggling and stayed still, as if she was asleep. The orange man took Sakura and the duo walked back to Orochimaru-sensei. They stood beside him and his next act made me worried. He smiled at the camera. It seemed like he knew we were watching and knew what we planned. The group walked back to the shadows and disappeared from our sight. Sasori and Kisame looked at the camera with shock. My instincts told me to run in and help, but Kisame held my wrist tightly, shaking his head. Sasori's phone rang. It said "Itachi". He pressed the answer button then laid it on a flat surface and pressing the speakers button. "Hello?" Itachi's monotone voice rang through out the room. "Itachi" Kisame replied. "The kidnapper— no, Orochimaru, had texted us again. He has Sakura, the money and my mother." He said. "We know. We saw it through the camera. He smiled too. It's like he knew all along" Sasori replied. His hands were formed into a fist and he looked angry. Angry at himself. "It good that you hadn't gone in yet. For all we know Orochimaru might have laid out traps. He might've taken you three too." He said. "This is orders from headquarters, and I want you to follow these orders and oblige." He continued. "Hai." Sasori and Kisame said. They looked at me and I muttered out a nearly passable "Hai". "Good. Now, this might be dangerous but this is the only plan we have left. You three must sneak in the storage and take Sakura back, along with my mother." He instructed. "Hai." We all said and was about to leave the mini van. "Oh. Another thing" Itachi's voice said out loud. We all turned to the phone. "...bring your guns" he finally said before hanging up.

We all nodded at each other and brought our guns. Then we ventured into the abandoned storage room.

We walked in and looked around the room for any signs of danger. The only things we saw was a broken chair, a worn down table and red paint on the floors. I'm assuming that it wasn't paint since it smelled a little "different". We went the same way Orochimaru-sensei and his little minions went. We walked down a semi-dark hallway with light bulbs at the top. It was going off and on, repeatedly every few minutes. On the walls were graffiti. They made the semi-dark hallways more...colourful.

At the end we came across two doors. One was half open, revealing a library. The other was locked. "We"ll need a key to open this one.." Kisame said. "We should investigate." Sasori said and nodding towards the library. Sasori and Kisame headed over to the library. I, however, stayed and observed the graffiti in the walls. Who knows, there might be a message that will lead us to the key. All it said on the walls were "N.D loves L.H" ,or "K.A likes O.M". There was no solid lead. I was about to head back to the library and see what Kisame and Sasori got until I passed by a particular message. "The rays of light". "Sasuke. Did you find anything?" Sasori asked. His voice snapped me back to reality. I nodded and looked over at the message. "The rays of light..."Sasori read out loud. "Maybe it's a book?" I Kisame said. "Maybe..." I said and studied it again. "Let's go to the library and check it out" Kisame suggested. Sasori and I nodded and followed the blue haired man. "Let's split up. Sasuke you take that corner. Kisame you check that side again. I'll be over at the right side." Sasori ordered and pointed of to a direction. We all nodded and went our separate ways.

I walked down the long bookshelves of the old library. The smell of old books was strong, creating a musty smell. I looked over to me side, only seeing windows. The windows were shaped like diamonds and had different coloured glass. However, I noticed that the one on the far right was covered. I walked up to it and pulled the curtains away. The moon shined brightly (A/N like a diamond! Lol) and the light was directly on it. I stepped away and saw that the coloured glasses was making a path around the library. Curious, I followed it. It led me to a particular bookshelf, the end of the light pointed at a particular book. I took it out and saw that it was a book about light and the science behind it.

What a coincidence...

I noticed it was a little too light, and a little too hard. I opened it and saw that it wasn't a book at all. It was a fake book.  One where you can keep things hidden and it will appear to be a book.

What a perfect place to hide it...

I saw a little tiny bronze key in the middle. I picked it up and headed to where Sasori and Kisame were. "You find anything?" Kisame asked. I nodded and placed the book and key down. "Sweet" Sasori said and gently held the key. "Maybe it will fit in the other door" Kisame suggested and pointed over to the locked door right beside the library one. "Hmm..." Sasori hummed and walked up to the door. He placed it in the lock and turned it slowly. The lock made a soft "click". He opened the door slightly and I saw...
