Project

~Hinata's POV~

   "Sakura!" Everyone yelled (well some of us sort of did). Everyone— well more like Ino and Tenten asked Sakura lots and lots of questions.

"Where were you?"
"We were worried"
"why didn't you tell us you were going to leave?"

Sakura looked like she was getting pressured, so I stepped in and helped her. "W-what if we just enjoy lunch for now then ask Sakura later?" I asked. Ino and Tenten agreed to it then went back to talking with Shikamaru and Neji. Then I noticed that Sasuke wasn't here. It seems like Naruto-kun noticed it too.

"Where's Sasuke?" We both asked at the same time. We looked at each other. He smiled at me, and I turned red. That smile of his is just too...too... Cute!

Sakura told us that he was sick and probably went home. Then I noticed that she was opening and closing her hand, a thing that she does when she's nervous. I looked at her in the eyes. Her eyes looked like they were hiding something.

I'll ask her later, when no one is here.

The the bell rang signalling that lunch was over. We said our goodbye's then went to our classes. Naruto-kun and I had the same class so we went to class together. While we were walking down the halls Naruto and I were talking about random things. We entered our class and sat down beside each other.

Finally the teacher came in. He started his lesson. But I could tell that no one was listening (even Naruto-kun! But that's probably because he already knows all of this stuff). After 15 minutes of sitting down and pretending to be listening to the teacher when I'm actually just thinking about other stuff (I mean don't get me wrong but I already know all the things that this teacher is teaching us), a felt someone lightly brush my hand. I looked to my left and saw Naruto look out from the window. On his face was a small smile.

I looked at the crumpled piece if paper in front of me. I opened it (making sure that no one saw me) and read what it said. "Class is really boring eh?" It said. I recognized the persons handwriting. I looked at Naruto-kun again. This time he was looking at me. I smiled then took out my pencil and started writing back to him. " yeah it sure is." I wrote. I slid the piece of paper back to Naruto-kun then looked back at the teacher.

We passed notes to each other for the whole entire class. That is until the teacher said something that made all of us listen to him. "Class you will all be assigned to a partner to do a project. This project will be half of your marks" Some people started to look at their friends and whispering to each other. While other people were too shocked to actually do anything. The teacher started to explain the project.

So, to write a story with your partner? Hmm... This should be easy

"You can pick your partners" the teacher said. As soon as he said that, all the student  stood up form their desks and ran to their friends. A group of guys lined up to ask me to be their partner.

"Hina-chan! Please be my partner!"
"No be with me!"
"No way would she choose you, because she'll obviously choose me!"

   I stole a glance at Naruto-kun. He seemed to be paying no attention to what was happening.

Hmm...time to see if he's actually listening to this or not

"S-sorry boys but I already have a partner" I apologized. When I said this Naruto-kun tensed up.

So he WAS listening!

"Then who's your partner Hinata?" The guys asked. " I-I'm partners with Naruto-kun!" I said cheerfully. The guys all glared at Naruto-kun then walked away. I looked at Naruto-kun again. This time he was looking at me with confusion written all over his face. "So— I'm, I mean you— you just— you I'm your—" he stuttered. "Yeah we're partners n-now Naruto-kun!" I said. Then he smiled,"that's great"

Then we started to discuss about where we would meet for our project. " how about we meet after school? I asked, " by my locker?"I asked. "Okay" he said. Then the bell rang. "We'll see you around Hina!" He said. And with that he went to his next class.

Hey guys! Thank you for reading nerds! And I know I've said that a lot but hey, you can never be too thankful (and also because it's my first story and I'm very proud of what I've done) lol anyway! I've made a new story and it's called "best friends" and it's a seven x reader story! So to all the fans of mystic messenger (or for the ones who just want to check it out) please read it!
