A sky full of stars and he was staring at her.

His heart drummed and leapt repeatedly against his chest, the fitting suit constricting the prince's thoughts even further. She was absolutely stunning, how her h/c hair cascaded over her flawless shoulders, her black silky dress complimenting her slender figure. Could any star match the beauty of hers? Swallowing all the remaining shock bubbling in his throat, he waltzed causally over to her with a handsome smile painted across his lips.

His hands laced behind his greyish blazer, his mind wishing for her enticing e/c eyes to take a glance in his direction than the stars showering them above. Just one little glance and this ball would be worth the time to attend to. Seconds felt like hours to the young male before her hues finally changed direction, fully connecting with his own attractive blue ones. A smirk replaced the genuine smile, noticing a crimson color begin to stain her cheeks covered in foundation.

"Miss, having a fine evening?" His voice rumbled into your eardrums like a saxophone, smooth and somewhat sexy at the same time.

"Very, my prince. I hope your evening has been enjoyable to your expectation too?" You said softly, blushing at the sight of the prince himself in all his glory beside you.

"Yes, much better than I hoped for actually." He answered meekly, flickering his gaze down towards the floor.

"Really? I overheard from your father that you disliked these types of things." You commented with a gentle smile. Gods, that smile looked absolutely amazing upon your features to the prince.

"I do. It's just that the evening became much more brighter once you entered the picture." He mentioned with an impish smile, placing a hand on his waist while the other dangled loosely by his side.

"Well, I technically agreed to come here to procrastinate a little from my job. Don't tell anyone though." You said with a short burst of girlish giggles, cupping a hand lightly over your lips to muffle it.

"Hehe, don't conceal that beautiful smile or laughter. It's better to reveal everything about yourself to me now before the party ends. Not too many girls actually have the courage to approach me so calmly like you have."

"I didn't. You approached me." You retorted, nudging him playfully by the shoulder.

He only revealed a row of pearly white teeth in agreement, his shoulders bobbing up and down as a laugh shook his whole frame. The prince was handsome, charming, and adorable. What an amazing guy to be around you thought, naturally brushing a few loose strands of hair from your shoulders. His eyes were shaped like crescent moons, squinting thinly through half-lidded eyes. You were curious of his unusual behavior, inching a few steps closer beside him.

"My prince, what is with your dazed trance? You have seemed to be acting strange ever since you've laid your eyes on me." You said bluntly, tilting your head in puzzlement. He acted unfazed by your question, only flashing a boyish grin in return.

"Not sure. Perhaps the intoxication in the drinks have messed with my brain." Noctis answered, continuing to smile cutely.

That smile burned itself right into your memory base, a miniature smile growing on your glossy lips. His smile was simply contagious, or perhaps you were weirdly intoxicated yourself.

"A dance, m'lday?" Noctis asked gentlemanly, stretching a tender hand towards you.

"Please, call me f-n. And yes, I would love to." You responded back, intertwining your fingers together as one in a dance below the stars.

Chests touched in unison, breaths becoming more irregular in pace. His musky cologne didn't help at all with your situation, fuzzing your mind of any doubt or fear. Before, your fingers were trembling within his callous ones, hearing him shush you quietly from above your head. Now, everything clicked like puzzle pieces, your hearts thumping in sync with one another as the piano keys continuously increased in volume before reaching a deafening halt. Your breaths mingled with one another, your lips only millimeters apart. Which ever pathway he chose to avoid, his mind still would be wrapped around this girl. His mind couldn't accept the fact of not kissing you right then and there.

His chapped lips pressed against your lip gloss stained lips, smearing the makeup without a care. A hand snaked around your waist while its twin entangled itself in your thick h/c tresses. Your calm composure faltered, melting into his strong arms like butter allowing him access to the cavern hidden between your lips. His tongue gently prodded between your strawberry tasting lips, feeling a heavy breath through his nose pepper your skin. Your hands subconsciously raked themselves through his black mane, pulling your flushed form closer into him.

You only wanted more, so much more of him. Yet, this was wrong. You just met and you were already kissing the night away. But, it felt so natural to continue with this forbidden act. It was addicting, the taste of his tongue roaming against your own, the pounding of your veins beneath your skin, his surprisingly soft yet thick locks running between your fingers.

"N-Noctis." You murmured, his lips clamping onto your bottom lip briefly before retracting himself.

"Don't say anything. Just please, enjoy the moment." He was practically pleading for more treatment, running a hand sensually along your spine causing goosebumps to form.

"We, we can't. I barely know you."

"Neither do I, but I am fully capable of learning more about you. No, I want to know more about you, personality wise..." Fingers danced tantalizingly slow across your forearm to the sleeve of your dress. "And physically."

You mentally slapped yourself as you shuddered at his seductive word play, gripping onto the shoulders of his blazer tightly.

"I promise Noctis, we'll meet again. Under certain conditions instead." You chimed softly into his eardrum, bursting into a shroud of white crystals.

A single note was left in your wake, the prince crouching down to pick up the flimsy paper.

Soon my chosen prince, soon.

A small sigh escaped his lips, simply raising the cherished paper to his lip.

"Fine, if that's how you wanna play it." He breathed out.

All the girls he could have met, it had to a girl with immortal capabilities akin to his own. What are the odds?
