Maya's POV
I looked at Riley completely confused as she was walking back and forth.
She stopped in her tracks once she heard her dad scream my name.
"MAYA"
Riley grabbed my hand and we both ran out to the living room to see Cory with a handful of Josh's collar in his fist and farkle zay and Lucas all pressed into a corner.
"Mr.Matthews what are you doing? I asked moving towards josh.
"I'm going to kill him. Unless...what he told me isn't true..."
"Well what did he tell you?" I asked. I knew exactly what he told him but the longer I stall the longer I can come up with a way to make him okay with us.
"He told me...this is gonna make you burst into laughter....he told me that you two were a thing like y'all date...." He said as he bursts into laughter. "Why aren't you laughing?"
"Because its actually true..." I said as slowly as possible to let him comprehend everything that I was saying.
"You-you are...dating him?" He stuttered with every word.
"Yes..."
"Well I that case.... JOSH YOUR A DEAD MAN!" He said as he turned back to josh.
"Mr.Matthews stop I really like josh. And don't act so surprised that we're dating now josh and I agreed on a someday and now is our someday...can't you just be happy for me..." I said stepping in between josh and Cory.
"Are-Are you happy?" He asked looking down at me with his puppy dog eyes
"Yes...I am happy..." I looked up at him.
"Fine....but if he so much as-"
"He won't." I answered back quickly. "Right josh?"
"Right I won't..." Josh looked down at me with puppy eyes also.
You could totally tell they were brothers. "Good....now I'm going to go lay down all this unwanted news has me exhausted....just remember josh I now officially don't like you..." He said as he disappeared behind the wall.
"Okay...that was a big step that I think went pretty well..."
I rolled my eyes and let out a breath.
