*Caseys POV*

When the bell rings, I grab my things and rush out of the room and down the hall like a madwoman. I didnt speak to the new girl the whole class, but I caught her glancing at me on many occasions.

"Case!" I hear a voice call my name, and turn around to find Jerry catching up to me, his books about to drop out of his hands.

"Oh, sorry Jerry," I apologize, smiling. I easily scoop his books out of his hand and hold them while he takes off his backback.

"What was up with you in there, babe?"

"Nothing Jer... I was just..." I falter, trying to make up an excuse as to why I was spazzed and nervous. I hand him his books and he slips them in his bag. I freeze up again when she approaches. She smells of roses, and smiles politely as she passes us.

"Look, its ok," Jerry said. "Come on, we gotta get to History."

He kisses me lightly, and I'm reminded of why I am with him. He never pushes me to tell him things I dont want to. We walk to History, and I think about how much I love him.

The day goes smoothly until lunch. I havent seen Ally in any of my classes. I also don't see her when we bump in to each other on the way to lunch.

"Whoa... sorry," she says, grinning  She picks up my Geology textbook and hands it to me. "Hey, you're in my homeroom, right?"

"More like you're in my homeroom,  right?" My confidence suprises me, since earlier I could barely look at her.

"Haha guess so," Ally says. "Are you going to lunch?" She doesnt seem like shes gonna mention me staring at her in homeroom.

"Yeah. My boyfriend is waiting. "

As soon as I say that, a noticeable, darker change comes across her face. She quickly regains her smile though. "Oh, you have a boyfriend?"

"Mm-hmm. So, sorry I bumped into you but I should get going." I side-step her and continue to walk down the hallway. She follows me.

"Hey well, can I sit with you guys? I have lunch this hour too."

Damn it.

"Um, sure I guess." I smile, trying to be nice, but I mentally dummy smack myself. I cant sit next to her for 45 min! She just...makes me feel so odd, every time shes near me.

I spot Jerry at our table in the back when we get to the lunchroom. "Hey babe," he kisses me as I put my stuff down next to him. I kiss him back, smothering his lips with my own.

"Mm... you're a great kisser." he says once we've stopped to take a breath.

"Ahem," Ally clears her throat behind me, slightly annoyed.

"Oh! Uh, Alyssa's gonna sit with us today, ok?" I blush a little in embarrassment, sitting down next to Jerry.

"Ok, whatever." She gratefully sits across the table from us, but glares at Jerry, probably at the level of affection. He glares back, probably because he doesn't want to share the table.

"So where are you from?" I ask Ally to break the tension.

"Parliament County," she answers, taking a bite of a turkey sandwich. "I uh, didnt do well there, so my parents moved us here."

"Us?"

"Yeah I have a little brother named Benny. He's in 7th grade."

"Oh."

"Be right back babe, I gotta go to the bathroom." He squeezes my knee and before I can say, "Wait! I have to go too!", he's gone. I can tell he doesn't like Ally, but I dont know why.

*Alyssas POV*

Jerry the Jerk. God, that boy is so full of himself! I was glad when he left.

"So... what do you have after lunch?" the girl (Casey?) asks to make some small talk.

"Algebra."

"What a coincidence. Me too." I can tell she doesnt like me too much. Maybe I was wrong to sit with her. I make a move to stand up, but her warm brown eyes widen in surprise. "No! Stay! I'm sorry. I didnt mean to be mean."

I smile. "You know, since I'm new and all, you can be a little nicer."

She fumbles for words. "I... I'm sorry. I do like you. I'm glad we have algebra together."

Me too. But I'm upset she has a boyfriend. Shes too beautiful to be straight. Instead I say, "Is Jerry a good boyfriend?"

"Huh?" Casey says, taken aback. "Yeah I guess. He's really sweet to me."

"Is he usually this hostile towards new kids?"

No actually. I have no idea what got into him." Casey picks at her food. Salad.

"Probably pissed he has to share his table." We eat the rest of our lunch in silence. Jerry never returns.

"Are you gonna get his bag?" I ask when the bell rings.

"Yeah I know his next class. Do you wanna come? We can walk to Algebra after, if you want."

"No it's cool. I dont want to be late on my first day. I'll find my way, thanks." I did want to go with her, but not to see that jerk.

Casey shrugs. "Ok. See you later then." She picks up her trash, and Jerry's and goes to the garbage can. When she comes back, its only to grab her and her boyfriends bag.
