I Think I Love You [Girl×Girl]

Chapter 8

*Caseys POV*

It isnt until first period (geometry) that I see Ally again. The class is taking a test, and under Mr. Carters dissaproving glare, she slips in...20 minutes late and without a pass. A million thoughts are racing through my head but i struggle to focus on the exam. But finally I give in and sneak a peek at  her sitting in the very back of the class. Her eyes are puffy, like shes been crying. The teacher comes over and hands her a copy of the test. They exchange a few short words and then he returns to his desk. She starts writing and I turn back to my own work.

By the time the test is over, class is 10 minutes away from ending, but you could just say its over now. One of the things I like about Mr. Carter is that if he can finish his lesson plan in less time than the class ends, he lets us basically do whatever until The bell rings, short of walking out. the first thing i want to do is interrogate Ally, but i stop myself. I dont want be so nosy.

Instead, i act like i couldnt care less where she was and start to pack up. I jump when i feel hands sliding around my waist from behind.

"Hey Casey baby," Jerry says in a deep voice. He buries his face in my neck and pretends to bite me.

"Jerryyyy," I whine, turning around and pushing him off. "The PDA remember?"

"Oh sorry I just couldn't resist."

I laugh. "You wanna do something after school today? Besides homework haha."

"Yeah we could go see a movie," he suggests, sitting on a desk.

"That'd be cool," I agree.

"It would be. You, me, semi-alone in semi-darkness." He wiggles his eyebrows at me and I roll my eyes.

"Youre so immature."

"But thats why you love me!" Then the bell rings and everyone rushes out like theres a bomb in the classroom set to explode. Suddenly, I realize that I was so involved with Jerry I forgot about Ally. I look around but shes disappeared with the rest of the class.

"Coming babe?" Jerry says from the doorway.

"Yeah." I grab my bag and follow him out. But I'm worried. 

Ally is gone the rest of the day and after school i grudgingly go to get pizza with Jerry. Hes talking the whole way there, about football and how he might get a scholarship into a really good college he wanted to go to. I try to pretend that I'm happy for him, and i am, but i wonder what happened to my new friend. The pizza is good, and after, we walk back to school to get jerrys  car. The movie theatre is 20 minutes away As we approach the back of the school to get to the parking lot, i see something i will never forget.

*Alyssas POV*

This day fucking sucks. After I ditched Casey in the auditorium, I run to the bathroom and basically cry my eyes out, hiding there for a good while. But then I go to geometry, because I dont want to get marked absent and have to go through all that skipping school drama on my second day here.

I thought Casey would be concerned for my whereabouts, but it just about kills me when she decides to flirt with her boyfriend after class. She doesn't even ask if I was ok! So I return to the bathroom, and remain there the rest of the day. If someone comes in I just pull my feet up and pray they think that the locked stall at the end of the row is out of order.

When the final bell rings for school, I wait about 20 minutes and slip out the school from one of the back doors, and thats when I see her.

Leah is leaning against the wall. When she sees me she squeals and runs up to me, nearly knocking me down. I'm so happy to see her, its almost like everything bad that happened today disappears.

"Oh my gosh I missed you so much!" I say into her shoulder after a few moment of the both of us jumping up and down and squeezing each other half to death.

"I missed you too!" she says. "I was gonna wait a little longer, since I only called you yesterday, but you sounded upset so I asked my mom and she talked to yours and they both said yes!"

We sit down on the cement half wall near the door. "I'm really glad you're here," I say, "things have been...bad. Really bad."

"Did you guys have the assembly yet?"

I nod.

"We did too. No that it was really necessary, because everyone knew but..."

"Yeah, I know," I agree. "The worst part is that they're telling it all wrong!"

"Well... how have other things been?" Leah asks, trying to keep the mood light.

"I met this girl. Her name is Casey."

"Oooh! Is she pretty?"

"She is hot. And shes so nice."

"Did you ask her out?" Leah leans forward in anticipation.

"Ah, no. Shes not a lesbian." I roll my eyes, and she pats me on the shoulder in understanding.

"Aw, I'm sorry. But you know, if you do care about her like that, you really should tell her about yourself, because the schools are catching up." She combs her hair through her fingers.

"Yeah," I say, "Anyway, I really missed you and im glad your here." We talk for a few more minutes, but it isn't long before we're making out. Looks like the feelings we had over the years hasn't completely gone away.

"I...thought we were over," Leah says, taking a breath.

"Haha, guess not," I laugh as we kiss. I don't even see Casey and Jerry before its too late.
