*Caseys POV*

I stare at the girls feverishly making out in front of me, and it takes me a moment to process that one of them is Ally. Jerry is frozen beside me, but our suprised looks aren't the same. Mine is the 'Oh my god, Ally likes girls?', but his is like, 'Whoa! Two hot girls necking in the back of school! Sweet.'

"Ahem," I cough intentionally, and they look up, startled.

"Casey! Jerry! Um..." Ally falters for words as they pull away from each other. Both are beet red and wide eyed.

"Whoa why'd you stop?"Jerry asks. His phone is in his hand, and I cant believe hes taking a video of this.

We all glare at him, and he puts his hands up in defeat. "I, uh...later Casey!" He bolts to the parking lot and jumps in his car, but i can tell he thinks this amusing.

That leaves the three of us standing awkwardly in silence. I break it with anger.

"What the hell, Ally? I dont care, but what the hell???"

"I'm Leah," the other girl offers weakly.

"I just met you!" Ally snaps at me, meeting my anger with her own. "What did you expect me to say, 'Hi I'm Ally and I like girls'?"

"No, but this certainly isnt a better way of finding out!"

"Look I'm sorry okay?" she softens a bit and grabs the hand of the girl. "This is my um..."

"I was her girlfriend before she moved away," Leah finishes.

"Yeah. I'm sorry you had to find out...like this, and I know your probably upset, but can you not broadcast this to the world? Jerry probably will but..." Ally bites her bottom lip, and I can see shes close to tears, but I'm to shocked to care.

"Oh no, you dont have to worry about me telling anyone about you. But you will have to worry about finding a new friend!" I turn on my heels and start to run. When I've put enough distance between me and the school, I stop to breathe, and thats when the tears come. Which I really dont understand because it shouldn't affect me like it does.

I sit on the curb and collect my thoughts. My phone vibrates in my pocket, and I bet its Jerry, trying to apologize but I dont care. This whole thing is just so fucked up, and everyone is guilty.

The worst part is that my heart, adrenaline pumped and beating hard, is yearning.

*Alyssa's POV*

Leah and I stand alone in the back of the school. I'm still holding her hand, and she squeezes it. "Oh Alyssa, I'm so sorry cupcake."

"I dont go by Alyssa anymore," I correct her. "Ally."

I take my hand away and start off glumly. I dont care that I have no idea where I'm going, or that Leah is calling my name behind me. I dont care about anything. I just walk. Soon I come across a bench,

and I plop onto it, defeated. Not only will Casey never, ever like me, but she thinks im disgusting too. And if she doesn't now...she definitely will once she finds out the truth.

I check my phone. Benny texted me that he was home and where the heck was I. I sigh and look around. Good thing I didn't go too far from school.

"Dude, your soo late," Benny says as I come through the door. "Do you know how to spell...responsibility?"

I trudge glumly through the living room past him.

"Hey whats your deal?" Benny pauses the video game he was playing. "Oh and Leah came. Mom said shes staying the rest of the week."

"I know," I mutter as I climb the stairs.  I slam the door to my room shut. Second time for the second day in a row that ive done this, except this time I'm too drained to cry, and no one comes upstairs. I lie on my bed, staring at nothing.

I dont know how long its been, but after a while my phone vibrates. I wearily pull it out and look at the caller ID.

"What do you want?" I say, answering the call wearily.

"I dont know how to get back to your house," Leah mumbles.

"Cant you just pull it up on GPS or something?"

"I would if I knew the damn address."

I sigh. "Um...22 Greenridge st."

"Thanks."

"Yeah." I disconnect the call and sit up, looking at the time on my phone. I must have dozed off staring at the ceiling, because its 6:30. I wonder where Leahs been all this time, and if Moms home yet.

When I get downstairs I see a box of pizza on the table, and a note from Mom that reads,

Hey guys heres some pizza. I had to go back to work for a bit. Sorry I couldn't be here to welcome you Leah.

I crumple the paper and help myself to a slice of the pizza. Benny is no where to be seen and I figure he's in his room. I go back up to my own after I finish my food.

Soon there's a knock at my door. "Come in," I say, defeated. The door creaks open slowly, as if the person isnt sure they want to come in.

"Ally?" Leah comes in, slowly crossing my room to sit on the foot of my bed. "Are you mad at me? If you are...I'm sorry, whatever I did."

"No its not you," I say, sitting up. I lie back down with my head in her lap. I used to do this so often, so its no surprise she starts to stroke my hair back. This always used to calm me, but I guess its lost its charm.

"I really am sorry about Casey," she says.

"Its okay," I say, and I give a small smile. "I'm glad you're here."

"I am too," she says with a laugh."Someones gotta be there for ya."

Its sad, but what shes saying is true. My own family,  as much as they love me, aren't around nearly enough to help. Dads still at our old house, and Moms at work. Benny...Benny just doesn't understand anything.

"Did you see the pizza down there? Sorry that was the only thing. Moms supposed to go shopping tomorrow."

"It's cool," Leah says, "I wasn't really hungry." Shes still playing with my hair, and I feel a chill on my neck from her fingers.

"So where are you sleeping?" I ask, trying to make small talk.

"When I talked to your mom on the phone, she said theres a spare room down the hall from yours?"

"Oh bullshit. That room is so empty and bleak. How about my room instead?" I stand up and stretch.

"Yeah, that would be great. " She stands up too, and once again, I realize how close we are.

"Look, Ally, I know you really dont want to talk about...what we did. But I just wanna say that it doesn't mean anything. After this weekend,  I'm gone. So dont hang on to it, ok? Casey's waiting for you." She kisses me lightly on the cheek, and goes out into the hall.
