Hey does anyone maybe wanna see my drawings? No ok.
Um I haven't been in the mood to write smut, or fluff. That's why everything has been kinda erm- depressing?
Idk sorry.
This one should be happier though.
I'm so happy with the support, I've only joined a month ago, and I haven't started writing until a couple weeks in!
Anyways idk what this story will be about cause I come up with it along the way.
Same with the titles of my oneshots.
Anyways hope you guys enjoy as always.~•~•~•~•~
I was walking home from my job at the local Cinema.
Well, it's not my job anymore.
I got layed off today because apparently sneaking in the movies and getting candy for free was considered "stealing?"
I'm not mad, I'm just worried because I don't know how I'm going to pay for rent in my apartment.
I decided to stop at a few places, needing to pick up a new colored hair dye.
I walked into the small barber shop and immediately walked to the back, not wanting to have any social contact right now.
But that didn't last long till a girl that seemed too cheery came up to me.
"Hello! Do you need help with anything?"
"Uh- no I'm fine."
"Just yell if you need me!"
"I'm pretty sure I won't..." I whispered under my breath as she walked away.
I bend down looking at the isle of possible choices.
After about five minutes I decided on "shocking sherbet pink."
I payed then walked out, immediately being punched back by an unsettling, chilling breeze.
"Damn it's cold."
Starting on my way back home through the autumn day, something caught my eye.
A small boy was sitting with his knees pulled to his chest and his arms wrapped around his head.
He had his bag and what seemed to be an instrument case sitting next to him on the bench.
What is it called again?
The, you know, tiny guitar?
Uke- Ah! Ukulele!
I walked towards the brunette, not wanting to scare him.
"Um- excuse me? Are you okay?"
He immediately looked up, wiping his eyes and nose.
"Uh- y-yah I'm f-fine."
"You clearly aren't."
His eyes were red and swollen.
His nose and cheeks are rosy from the crisp cold air.
"A-and why w-would you c-care?"
"Karma? Do something nice for others and soon the favor will be returned?"
"F-funny."
"Well if you don't want to talk then I will just keep walking. I didn't have to stop and waste my time on someone who clearly needs an attitude check."
I started walking slowly away, only to be called back by this sassy yet cute young boy.
"W-wait! I'm sorry."
He moves his bags over and pats for me to sit down.
I do with a grin on my face.
"So. What happened to put you in such a crying-bitchy mood?
I look at him making eye contact, smiling once again.
"Gee wow th-thanks. I just got shutdown for a performance I was going to have at the Columbus Live Theatre."
"Ah, so that's what the baby guitar is for. I just got fired at the Cinema down the street from here."
He laughs at my early statement but it soon turns to a frown.
"First of all it's called a ukulele, and second of all, why did you get fired?"
"I could ask you the same about why you got turned down."
"I asked first."
"I asked second."
I fired back.
He seems funny and possibly even more cute when he's frustrated.
"Fine. I got turned down from the theatre because supposedly they found a 'better individual.' "
"Sounds like a breakup."
We both chuckle.
"Yah, and the weird thing is is that I had a completely sold out show!"
"Weird. They must be really fricking lame."
"Clearly. Who would let such an amazing and talented person like me go?"
I smile a sincere smile at his cocky statement. "So why did you get fired?"
"Apparently sneaking into a movie during your shift and getting unlimited candy for free is against the rules."
I recite from earlier.
"Well, I don't mean to be a downer, but that does kinda sound like something that is reasonable to be fired for."
"I guess. I hated that place anyway. The popcorn was always stale."
We both smiled looking in different directions only to be met eye to eye again.
His eyes were so beautiful.
A solid brown reminding me of coffee.
"Your eyes remind me of coffee."
"Speaking of coffee, let's go get some. My uke and I are freezing to death."
"There's a nice little cafe just around the corner, it's on me."
I knew I didn't have much money left, getting my last pay check yesterday.
But this boy made it seem worth it to spend every last penny on him.
Even though I never caught his name.
Even if it meant loosing my Appartement.
And even if it meant falling in deep freezing love.~•~•~•~•~
