Throwing her up against the wall, Quinn let out a groan as his lips met with hers. Picking her up and bringing her to the bed, he wasted no time in removing her clothes and he moved his lips from her neck to her chest, then her thighs-until

BEEP BEEP BEEP!

Groaning at the sound, Quinn moved from her sheets and rolled out of bed before taking a quick shower and preparing for the day. With the kids recovering from the flu, and her recovering from the overdose of alcohol she let herself partake in, she knew it would be a long day.

Making her way into the house, she found a soft and comforting voice to truly soothe her. Even making her throbbing head pain to seem minimal.

"Are you feeling better?"

"Much, thank you. Just a slight headache."

"Here..." Reaching in a cabinet beside him, Hudson handed her a container of headache meds. "Consider it an apology for my prying of your brain and technically getting you drunk."

"The only guy in history to get a girl drunk and not-" she stopped herself as his brows were raised.

"And not what?"

"Not be rude."

He nodded, setting an unsure glare in her direction before moving to his office.

"Let me know if you need anything."

She nodded as the kids decided they wanted to sit out in the pool for the day. Roderick chose his swim toys over his gaming system as Olivia chose the sun over her phone. Taking the small victory, Quinn just began to relax.

DING DONG. Echoing through the house, the sound of the doorbell was heard as Quinn walked to the door smiling. Until she saw David on the other side. Glaring at him, she pushed him down the steps and kept a permanent scowl in his direction.

"Can we just talk? Please."

"Fine. Go ahead. But I can't be gone too long-"

"Because your job, I know...but please just understand...I miss you." He attempted to gently caress her, but she had pulled away-no longer interested in him. She thought of Hudson each time she thought of affection towards her in anyway. Not ever thinking it a reality, it was a daydream that got her through the next day. But guys like David made her wish she could disappear in Hudson's strong arms and be protected.

"You and I both know you don't have much left...and you won't have guys beating down your door because you are poor and...a 6...if it's a good day...so...why don't we just forget about the pity and guilt and past and just start over?"

As she went to speak, and arm came around her back as she was pulled against a strong side. Feeling the muscles pull around her, a set of lips met against her cheek.

"Is there a problem baby?" She got goosebumps as he called her that, although she caught on instantly as to why he was behaving that way.

"This is David..."

"Ah...Is there something I can help you with?"

"I am talking to my girl." David said coldly. At first, his glance of Hudson had been intimidated, but turned quickly to anger as he attempted to brush him off.

"I don't think that statement is correct. To my understanding, she doesn't want anything to do with you. Now I suggest you get back into that car your dad paid for and drive off to some bimbos house where you will probably have hate sex and then get her knocked up and become just like your father."

Standing stunned, both David and Quinn looked to him with shock.

"Okay...old man...at least I can HAVE sex. I doubt you can even kiss a girl without breaking a hip."

"You're right. I choose women." Before she could object, Quinn was in Hudson's arms as his lips gently pressed to hers. For a small section of time, they were lost in each other. With her bent at a sight angle, she ran her fingers through his hair until he brought her up on her feet. Clearing his throat, Hudson moved towards David.

"I suggest you get off my property before I call the police."

"Whatever...she's not that good anyway! Enjoy sloppy seconds."

Shutting the door and leaving David a murmuring mess, Quinn stood in shock-something Hudson took for sadness as she just kept her gaze to the ground.

"I am sorry about doing that...I shouldn't have...Ever since I saw the way he talked to you, I wanted to wipe that cocky smirk off his face."

"Thank you...I...I should get back to the kids."

He nodded.

"Thanks again."

"There are worst things to do." He spoke back flirtatiously as she returned to the kids. In her entire existence, she thought when a man would deck another for his woman's heart-it was sexy and primal. But something about the way Hudson was wise and intimidating without trying was the most arousing thing she had ever seen.
