"I think you should go." Hudson said as he took a sip of his wine. Surprised by his seemingly uninterested response, she set her hand out towards him but he pulled away, walking towards the kitchenette in the hotel.
"Are you angry?"
"No. I'm just selfish. To imagine not being able to be around you...the thought of having to say goodbye. The thought of you meeting someone else-"
"I won't lie, I'll meet other people...But I won't love anyone else." She saw the sadness in his eyes and attempted to get him to talk further by adding a comment, "Just tell me your true thoughts."
"My true thoughts are just selfish..."
"I want to know."
"No...you don't....because then you will feel inclined to stay and I don't ever want to be the one to hold you back. Just because I'm worried you will fall for someone else...someone who can actually...satisfy you fully."
"Do you think you don't?"
She moved to the couch, gently pulling him with her.
"I don't have much experience with sex, Hudson...but I do know that you never leave me unsatisfied. In fact..." Throwing herself on either side of him, she threw her hair to one side and pushed on his waist, feeling him becoming aroused beneath her. Rubbing back and forth, using her slow movements to torture him, he slid his fingers up her legs, gripping at her waist. She brought her lips to his ear, whispering as she slowly moved back and forth.
"I want you to remember this...there is no one in this entire world that pleases me like you. Everything you do from your kisses..." She kissed his neck, working her way up to his ear, nibbling on his ear lobe before continuing to whisper, "to the naughty things you say to me." Bringing her hand to his belt, she threw it behind her after loosening it, making him close his eyes. Biting her bottom lip, she slid her hand in his pants, enticing him enough so he growled, slightly moving with her touch.
"I don't think I can go without you." he confessed, opening his eyes as he stopped her hand. "But I can't leave-"
"I would never ask you to. I want to be with you and I want to do this internship...but I can easily do something that makes me happy here."
"No." He pulled her from the couch. "I have already put you literally through hell...I won't let you give this up."
"Hudson-"
"I just got you and you have to go. I will wrack my brain every night wondering if you are alone. But I want you to experience this why you can. While you're young." A sadness appeared in his eyes. Slowly nodding, she slid her position from him as he followed closely behind.
"Can you at least take me to the airport?"
"Of course. When do you leave?"
"At six."
"Tomorrow?"
She nodded. "I want to be with you, Hudson. I will come back..."
He slid his hand to he cheek. "I know...but...you will be all experienced then with culture and ideas..."
"Why do you think I'll stop caring about you?"
"Well...Frenchmen have their reputations for being savage lovers and I-"
She kissed him, ceasing him from speaking further.
"You are absolutely everything I have ever wanted. I would change the circumstances in a heartbeat...but not how I feel or how I got here."
"You say that now-"
"I mean it. That will not change when I come back or while I'm gone or even a decade from now."
"How can you be so sure?"
"I just am. I don't want to leave with these fears that you will give up on me. Please...I don't think I can handle it..."
He pulled her into him as she rested her head against his heartbeat. For a moment, she lingered and felt her heart synchronize with his before he pulled back.
"I don't want you to leave on some thought of cheap sex. I want you to leave knowing that I love you and want you to experience nearly everything France has to offer. Just don't forget about me."
"I can call you, write you, use Skype to talk...And maybe if you get some time...you could come visit me. I could show you the Eiffle Tower and the museums and everything-"
He nodded.
"We'll make it work." She spoke allowed-seemingly to assure herself more than Hudson.
For the remainder of their time together, Hudson pushed himself to act as though his heart was not breaking. Having taken her to breakfast at the local diner, they both feasted on pancakes and bacon before arriving at the airport. As she made it to her gate, he watched closely as she blew a kiss back. Tears filled his eyes as he turned from her to walk away. Hearing hurried steps behind him, he turned to find her running towards him. Wrapping her arms around him, she gave him a long and passionate kiss. Resting her forehead against his she let out a moan.
"I have half a mind to tell you to stay."
"I will be back in no time. Six months will fly by." With a final kiss, she returned to her gate and disappeared as Hudson sat in his car, replaying the times with her-before feeling himself slowly become depressed.
