*Author's Note: This is more like a filler chapter, introducing a new character. And I just wanted to let everyone know that this story will start with Payton's point of view for two chapters and then it'll go into Tate's point of view. So since the first two chapters are Payton's it'll be Tate's next and then the next two are Payton's and so on.

It may start off slow, but it'll pick up within the next two-three chapters, I hope. Lol. I still have to make a rough outline on how I want this story to go. It'll be about 3,000 words each chapter. That's my goal for each one.

If you haven't read my FINISHED book, Stalked and Rejected, you can read that while you're waiting for updates on this one. :)

Okay, okay. Here's chappy numero dos.

Chapter 2: Crash Into You

Everything felt like it was in slow motion right now. It’s like someone has a remote to my life, and used that remote to put everything in slow motion, just like in that movie, Click. That mashed potato bowl, hit Tate’s face, with a big swooshing sound. My mouth dropped open, taking in what just happened here.

I looked at the crowed in front of me, looking at their faces that mimed mine. I started to worry, because everyone had mixed facial expressions. Some were filled with fear knowing what could happen with Tate, some were looking at me with sorrow and sadness, and some were trying to keep in their laughter.

Tate’s eyes met mine and once that happened, he looked taken aback, his gaze softening at me with... awe? But then quickly composed his face. It was back to the hard, stone glare that he always shoots down to other people. And somehow I couldn’t look away from his eyes. No matter how much I wanted to look away, my body didn’t want to budge.

"You're going to pay for that, you bitch." Tate Richardson sneered at me. If looks could kill, I would be six feet under right now. He was covered with my lunch that landed on him, when I was tripped. He wiped his face off of the mashed potatoes, and flung it towards me, where it hit my face. The entire lunch room was silent right about now.

"I-I-I-I'm sorry. I didn't know that that would happen." I stuttered out, trying not to make eye contact. He was over six feet tall as he came towards me, towering. I wanted to take a gulp, but fearing that it would make a sound, I decided against it. I took a step back, as he shoved me harshly in both shoulders, causing me to wince at the pain. There were healing bruises underneath my sweatshirt that were sure to resurface later tonight.

“Awh, is the poor baby going to cry?” he taunted at me. He had a sly smirk on his face as he gripped my shoulders a little harder. I bit my lip, to keep out a faint cry. These bruises were definitely going to come back.

“No.” I pulled the best voice that I could muster to show that he isn’t getting to me, even if I’ve already failed by stuttering.

“Desiree, Emilia?” he called for them.

Desiree and Emilia came up from the table, snickering as they walked past me, pushing me onto the ground. I bit my lip, biting back the tears that were threatening to spill from my eyes. I hung my head down in shame, hiding it. I put on my 'brave' face, just like at the times at home when my parents would beat me.

Blake came towards me, as the three of them went back and sat at the table, acting like nothing has happened. "Hey, let's go, alright? You're fine, you're fine." I nodded my head at Blake as she helped me stand up. We left the lunch room and made our way to the bathroom, away from everyone.
