Niklaus’ POV

Nicky left my house around 2 pm so she could get to the high school for some car wash fundraiser. No doubt one of Caroline’s little projects. Now that Nicky has joined the cheerleading team, she was apparently “obliged” to be there or Caroline would “kill her.” These teenage, newly turned vampires, they’re so shallow. Trying desperately to latch on to the life that they had previously lived before they turned. Caroline is the epitome of that; she desperately clings onto Mystic Falls, her high school persona, it’s quite a pity really. Another pity is Rebekah, who so desperately wants to be human that she actually enjoys these little high school events. As for Nicky, she's just there for Rebekah, like the loving, understanding and compassionate person that she is. I am not one to go to such trivial events, but Nicky will be there and a part of me does want to see Rebekah try to experience what she deeply desires - being human. But no matter, my brothers Kol, Elijah and are all headed there and we even brought our cars to make it legitimate.

My brothers were following my car but we all stopped at a red light, and I smirked at them, egging them on for a race. Kol is driving his Lamborghini, I was driving my black, Porsche 911 GTS and Elijah was driving his black Mercedes Mclaren. As soon as that green light flashed, we recklessly drove towards Mystic Falls High, speeding away in our expensive little toys. I arrived first and parked my car so it could be washed; I threw my keys to that Matt boy that Rebekah seems keen on these days. “Quarterback at work; It’s good to see that you have some redeemable qualities outside being a busboy at the Grill, even if those redeemable qualities only matter in high school. We can’t let Rebekah go out with a total riff raff, now can we? We have a name to uphold.” Kol commented snidely. I smirked at him and Elijah just shook his head. “Try not to be your usual, asshole, self Kol” came Rebekah’s voice. “Look at you protecting him like some overgrown bat, just hovering by the shadows” Kol commented. In one quick second Rebekah threw a wet sponge at Kol, but he of course caught it. “No need to get aggressive with me, save that in the bedroom for young Matt here” Kol teased Rebekah more. “Ugh, you’re impossible.” She throws her hands up dramatically.

“And good God Rebekah, why are you exposing all of yourself today? This is a fundraiser, not the Sports Illustrated photo shoot. I’m sure you don’t have to try this hard for Matt considering you two already slept together.” Kol kept on going. He was enjoying this too much.

“Mind your own business Kol and plus, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with what I’m wearing. Caroline said bikini, so here I am in my bikini, cleaning cars and about to walk away from you lot” she said annoyed.

“Guys, lay off on the teasing” came the voice of Nicky. I turned around and I damn near fainted. She was in the middle of this high school parking lot dressed or shall I say, not properly dressed. She was wearing a bikini, yes and she looked so stunning, I wouldn’t be surprised if she caused an accident to all the people passing by the high school. “My God Nicolette, you look stunning” Elijah took the words right out of my mouth. “ She smiled and said “Why thank you Elijah” She looked at Kol and asked “So Kol, am I gonna get the same judgment as Rebekah?” Kol smirked, looked at me and said “No my love, you’re not because I for one would like to live today and not get killed my Niklaus and two, you really do look stunning.” Rebekah made a face and said “You two stop it, blatantly hitting on her in front of Niklaus” Nicky rolled her eyes and walked up to stand in front of me “Oh I have a feeling this will get mushy. Let's give them some space.” Kol said and he walked away with Elijah. Rebekah and Matt also walked off to clean another car.

“Hey handsome” she said to me. I snaked my arms around her tiny waist and pulled her close, kissing her. “Hi beautiful” She smiled “Is this gonna be a thing now then? The PDA?” she asked. “We’ve always been like this” I said, a little confused as to why she’s asking. “If you haven’t noticed, mister. I am in high school and you are old as hell,” she laughed. “Very eloquently put my love, but you are old as hell also” I teased. “No I’m serious Nik. Are we okay with this? I mean you also have a reputation to uphold, you know” she loosely placed her arms around my neck. “I think I can live with that,” I said, cupping her face in my hands and kissing her.
