AJ'S POV

"Oh my gosh Uncle!" I said quietly and hugged him.

"This year will be her Sweet Sixteen from leaving me and your aunt. I wish she was still here. She would be like a sister to you... You are just like her. She was precious. She still is..."

"This is my 10th year not having my mummy and daddy..." I choked, "and Christopher..."

I immediately started crying. I had been able to hold back my tears until I remembered my Christopher.

"Baby, no. Don't cry.... Please..." My uncle whispered in my ear.

"I...I gotta go... I am going to go call Cody again."

"Alright. I love you. I'm so sorry I failed being a father figure in your life. I don't know what I would do if I lost you too..."

"You won't. The only way you'll lose me, is when I get married, and I promise I'll still be your baby niece." I replied kissing my uncle on his check.

"About that... Allison... I think that since you really are still wanting to connect with your...uhm...immediate family... I think you should take your old last name. I changed it when you came and lived with me and your auntie. I think you should change it from Smith back to Jordan... You know, in honor of your family so you can continue the name."

I couldn't help but cry. I didn't know I had a last name that was different til a few years ago when I visited my families' grave. I didn't change it back but I had thought about it...

"Thank you..." I managed to squeak out.
