Justin a gang

Part 10 Chapter 2

Jake went in.

Mallory was awake.

"Jake!"she said happily as she learned over to hug him.

"Mal are you ok?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm fine." She said.

The others came in.

Justin just stood in the doorway he didn't know if Mallory even wanted to see him right now.

Jake turned around and saw Justin in the doorway.

"Can I talk to you for a minute." Jake asked they went outside.

"I didn't want Mallory in this." He said and Justin stayed quiet.

"I knew she was gonna get hurt I knew it." Jake said.

"I'm sorry it was all my fault I should've protected her.." Justin said running his hands through his hair.

"No what you should've done is left her the hell alone I didn't want her in this!" Jake yelled.

"Hey! Watch who you're talking to!" Justin said.

"Fine but I don't want you or Lydia or any of this to have anything to do with Mal." Jake told him.

"You're not her father you know you can't just tell her what to do." Justin said.

"I can and I have because if anything ever happens to her it's going to be completely on me and I can't forgive myself something like that I already lost my mom I can't lose my bestfriend too." Jake said his eyes watering.

Two guys were walking by when one stopped.

"Hey isn't that the guy that owes you money." One of them said.

"Yeah It is." He said coming over.

The other guy looked at Justin.
"I'm suggesting he took your money too." He said.

"No he's actually with me." Justin said. "He's one of my guys." He said.

They bagged up from Jake. "You still owe me punk." He yelled before driving off.

"Now I just saved your ass what makes you think I wouldn't do anything in my power to protect Mallory?" He asked Jake.

"I don't know what you'll do to Mallory I don't know what you've done and I don't care all I know is when she gets out of the hospital she's coming with me." Jake went back in.

Justin sat outside the hospital he still couldn't forgive himself.

"I should've I should've."

Those words kept racing through his mind.

Lydia had left and Emily and Max couldn't stay the night Justin went in.

Jake was asleep in the corner of the waiting room.

Justin went up to Mallory's room.

He walked in and sat on the couch.

"Jake?" Mallory mumbled.

Justin sat up.

Mallory slowly turned over.

"Justin?" She said eyes half open.

Justin didn't say anything.

"You know I forgive you." She mumbled.

"I forgive you it wasn't your fault you didn't shoot me." She said staring at him.

"Yeah but I should've protected you left you where you were I should've know better than to take you with me. What's wrong with me?" Justin asked.

"Nothing stop beating yourself up your gonna look worse than me." Mallory said.

"That's not the point you still got hurt because of me what if you weren't so lucky Mal?" He asked getting up.

Mallory managed to sit up.

Justin brought her face closer kissing her forehead.

Mallory looked up at him he looked sad which was rarely a face on him angry yeah but sad? Mallory thought.

"Goodnight Mallory." He said.

"Goodnight Justin." She said yawning.

"Bye." She said before laying back down.

Justin just stared at her before smiling and walking out. He didn't want to say goodbye but he knew it was.

Why did that feel like goodbye? Mallory asked herself.

Two days later she got out of the hospital.

She tried calling Justin he didn't answer.
She texted him he didn't reply.

She called Lydia she didn't answer.
She texted Lydia replied. "Can't talk anymore love ya bye."

She got up and took a bus to Justin's house.

He wasn't there.

"What the he'll?" Mallory said to herself.

When she came home Jake had surprised Mallory with her new apartment.

Max had moved out and got a small. Place a few blocks from where they lived.

Jake wouldn't say anything about the gang to Mallory anymore.

"Ok I am officially the most confused person on earth." She said staring out her bedroom window.
