Part 40 Chapter 5

"Hey Jess can you come pick me up from the hotel?" Mallory asked putting on her clothes.

"Sure I'll be there in a few minutes." Jess said before hanging up.

She called again she was outside Mallory walked down to her car. "Hey Mrs.Kaiser." Mallory said getting in.

"I can't believe you guys are about to leave." Jess said gloomily.

"I'm gonna miss you." Jess said.

"Aren't you guys going back to LA?" Mallory asked.

"No were going to some event in Paris for a week with Travis then were coming back." Jess explained as they pulled in the driveway.

"Oh that's not long." Mallory friend to convince Jess.

When Justin got back they said goodbye to everyone.

She hugged George. "See you next time Mallory." He said as Barbra came and hugged her.

"Aw your such a doll a shame to see you and Alex go." Grandma came up and gave her big squeeze.

"I'll miss you." She said grabbing her cheeks as Justin laughed.

She hugged Travis for a quick second and then gave a long hug to Jess who didn't want to let go.

The said bye to all Justin's friends and went back to the airport this time it was just Mallory and Justin Nick had caught an early flight this morning.

Back in LA...

"So good to be home." Justin stretched hugging Mallory as they got off the plane.

"I'm gonna go with Jake for a little bit." Mallory said grabbing one of her bags.

"What? we just got back." Justin said helping her.

"I know it's just he wanted to hang out when I got back it's only for a little while." Mallory kissed Justin on the cheek.

Jake came and picked Mallory up. "Hey Mallory." He said getting out the car and hugging her.

"Boss." He looked over at Justin.

"Hi Jake." He said his hands in his pockets.

"Boss?! Is Jake still in the gang?" Mallory asked herself.

"We won't be long!" Mallory yelled from out the window if the car as they drove off she could see Justin still smiling.

"So where off to?" She asked Jake putting her seatbelt on.

"It's a surprise." Jake said.

After driving they stopped at a small building.

There were no cars parked in front.

"Where are we?" Mallory asked getting out.

"Come on." Jake opened the door.

The lights turned on.

"Surprise!" It was a kind of welcome back party for Mallory.

Emily Plaza Max Carter Rosa Red Winston and Lydia and Stephanie were there.

"Guys I've only been gone for a week." Mallory said walking in and reuniting with everyone.

After hanging out with everyone for a few hours and meeting Carter Jake took Mallory back to Justin's.

He was in his office but it was really just a room with stuff he didn't want Mallory getting into while he was gone he kept the room locked it and all kinds of stuff about the gang and potential threats.

Mallory knocked on the door.

"Who is it?" Justin asked.

"Mal." She replied.

He opened the door.

"Had fun?" He asked closing and locking the door.

"Yeah it was only a welcome back party." Mallory said.

They walked downstairs and sat on the couch.

"Without me I told you Jake didn't like me." Justin said.

"Yeah he does." Mallory said. "He just need a time."

"Justin?" Mallory asked.

He looked at her. "You and Travis must have been pretty close just you and him right?" Mallory asked jumping around the question she really wanted him to answer.

"She told you didn't she." Justin shook his head.

"Told me what?" Mallory asked.

Justin rolled his eyes he knew she was lying.

"Well I don't wanna talk about it his name was Easley he committed suicide end of story." Justin said.

"I'm not asking you to talk about I just—

"You just what? Want me to talk about it." Justin turned his head.

"Will you ever realize?" Mallory asked.

"Realize what? I can trust you Mallory I love you I do trust you it's just some things people don't like to talk about and that's one of them." Justin said.

"So now I'm everybody?" Mallory asked.

Justin sighed. "This conversation is giving me a headache." He said to himself.

"I hired a butler." Justin changed the subject.

"What?!—

"And a maid." Justin added.
