Charlie
"I'll leave you two alone," I said and headed quickly for the door, sending Trevor a look saying it was alright.
"No, wait! Why don't we hang out all three?" I stopped in shock at the mere suggestion.
"I didn't come here to hang out with him, I came here to be with you, Trevor," the girl said as carefully as she could.
"I think it's a bad idea. I'll just leave you two to it. I'll see you tonight, Trevor." The door had almost closed behind me when Trevor came stumbling out.
"Stop, Charlie. Don't go, I'd much rather be with you right now. I'll send her home, ok?"
"No. Go be with her, Trevor. You'd made plans with her, I came in the way. Don't worry."
"But I don't want to!" he whispered furiously.
"I don't care. Go be with her, or it'll be all over the school by tomorrow morning that you'd rather be with me than with your girlfriend. People will start all kinds of rumours about us, that you'd rather not have," I whispered determinedly.
"I don't care about rumours!"
"So you wouldn't care if she told any of your football friends that we've been shagging this whole time?"
"We haven't!"
"They don't know that! God, Trevor don't be an idiot. If you don't go with her, before you know it, you'll learn something new about yourself every time you walk through the halls. That's what rumours are, they're lies that just get more and more ridiculous. I'll see you tonight." Our eyes locked and I stared hard at him. God, he was beautiful.
He finally gave up and returned to the dorm to entertain his girlfriend.
"Right then. Off to... somewhere." I took a deep sigh and went to my brother's door.

"What? You can't go half a day alone anymore?" Raymond said when he opened the door and found me outside.
"I forgot my book in the room and I don't dare go back, god knows what they're up to." I stepped past my brother into the room - that was lit only by a little light even though the curtains were drawn - and spotted Matt on the bed, half naked. "I think you got some chubs since the last time, Matt." That was a lie, he was ripped.
"Nice to see you too, dick."
"We were in the middle of something, brother," Raymond said and joined Matt on the bed. They'd pushed the two beds together, so I perched on top of the desk with my feet propped up on one of the chairs.
"And even though you're twins, I wouldn't like you to join," Matt continued.
"You're disgusting." My brother rolled over to lay on top of him, and they completely stopped paying attention to me. I doubt they would even hear what I said over their moaning. "Is that really necessary? Fine! I'll leave."
Matt literally pushed Raymond off the bed, blankets and all. His trousers were now open, and something was definitely going on down there.
"Please don't. Excuse your brother, he gets so eager once he starts. What did you want to talk about?"
"Fuck you," Raymond groaned from the floor.
"Nope, not right now. Your brother has something on his mind."

Trevor
"Is Charlie here?"
"Raymond! Jesus, what are you doing in my room?" I quickly pulled my trousers up and looked around for a t-shirt.
"I need to talk to you."
"That doesn't mean you have to walk into my room, unannounced, while I'm getting dressed!"
"I didn't know you weren't dressed at six in the afternoon. When is Charlie coming back?"
"I don't know, why?" Raymond sat down on Charlie's bed and looked like he'd rather not be here talking to me at all.
"We need to talk, there is something you need to understand. Charlie is very fragile at the moment, I supposed you've noticed."
"That fact has been a bit hard to overlook these last two weeks."
"And still you've been a dick. See where I'm going? If you hurt my brother again, if you say or do anything wrong, if you leave again, he'll be right back to that. There are certain things that happened in the past - uncomfortable things - which have had an enormous effect on my brother. This is the reason why he's been completely out of his mind lately. It's very dangerous. It scares me a bit, I don't know how far he'll go – and when you treated him like that! Trevor, do you understand how much you hurt him? do you understand what he could have done?!" Raymond was quite frightening when he was furious.
"I already said I'm sorry! We're good now! We're friends again, I promise."
"Is that why he came to my room? You threw his out to be with your girlfriend!"
"Oh god, did he say that? Did he go and tell you all that, to make you talk with me? For the last time, I didn't want to be with Amanda, I –"
"What are you talking about? No, of course he didn't ask me to talk to you, I'd rather he never found out I've talked to you at all. No, I'm here for his safety. Be on your guard, Trevor. If it seems he is about to do something out of the ordinary, if he seems nervous - anything – you have to tell me, alright?"
"No! Why would I do that?"
"His life might depend on it, Trevor!" I laughed.
"His life? How's he going to die, he's seventeen!"
"Because I fear he is going to do something very, very stupid. Anyway, just be careful what you say to him, remember that he is fragile, do you understand?" Without waiting for my answer the tall boy got up and left the room.
Well that certainly clears things up... I shook my head in exasperation.
It wasn't long until Charlie came back from wherever he'd been.
"How was Am...whatever? Wait, what did my brother do here?!"
"Your brother?" I laughed carefully. "He hasn't been here." Charlie snorted.
"Don't lie, I know he was here, you have that look on your face."
"He wasn't here!" I lied again.
"Fine, don't tell me what he told you, but at least don't lie about the fact that he was here." I sighed in exasperation again.
