background: they're dating but are in a bit of an argument ,, perrie goes on a night out and gets quite tipsy, then starts to drunk text jesy ++ this one is kinda sorta inspired by troye's song talk me down :)))))) && this is very fluffy
Perrie felt the room spinning as she downed another drink, trying to forget all about what had happened about four hours ago, and trying to have fun instead of crying herself to sleep on the couch. She loved Jesy more than anything, and when they got into the rare argument, it really affected her. However, this time, she wasn't going to let it affect her, she was just going to drink it away; get drunk, forget it happened, wake up the next morning on the couch. Simple. At least, that's what she planned it to be.
She circled around to the dance floor, drink in hand, catching up with one of her friends. The music was blasting, she couldn't hear anything except the pounding in her ears. She couldn't see anything except the flashing lights and other intoxicated bodies surrounding her.
As someone bumped into her, she got a small twitch of anxiety. She was so drunk she barely dismissed it, but her heart rate picked up quite a lot, so she made her way out the crowd. The only person she could turn to when she got any bit of anxiety was Jesy, but they were supposed to be mad at each other.
'Fuck it,' Perrie thought. She was drunk and she needed affection. She took her phone out her bra and hazily scanned over the screen, trying to focus on it. She tapped on Jesy's contact and started to text her, 'I'm sorry for what I did, or what we were arguing about, but I need you.'
Jesy quickly responded, 'Are you drunk? Where are you? And I'm not in the mood for that, Perrie.'
Perrie shook her head, 'Maybe, I'm at a bar, and no not that. I want to sleep next to you, that's all.'
Jesy was on the other end of the phone, tears still streaming down her cheeks from the small fight her and Perrie had. She was extremely worried about Perrie, knowing how crazy she got when she was drunk. She texted back, 'I'm coming to get you. We'll talk soon.' She slid off the bed and pulled on a pair of shoes. She wasn't planning to get out the car, though; she was only in leggings and Perrie's hoodie. She walked outside to the car, it starting to drizzle a bit outside. She pulled the hood over her head and got in, starting the car. She quickly backed out and started driving to the bar. Absentmindedly, she went to reach for Perrie's hand out of habit, then realizing Perrie wasn't there. She sniffled and pulled her hand back, putting it back on the steering wheel. The rain picked up slightly as she sped through the streets, wanting to get back with Perrie as soon as she could.
Perrie was standing anxiously at the door, waiting for Jesy's car to pull up. She had her phone clutched tight in her hand, staring at the raindrops falling down the door.
At once all her nerves washed away when she saw a faint, blurry glimpse of Jesy. She immediately ran out the door and to the car, getting quite soaked with rain on the way there. But she didn't care, she just wanted to be with Jesy again. She opened the door and stumbled in, looking down at her lap.
Both of them felt the urge to grab on to each other's hands, but they refrained.
There was a bit of awkward silence as Jesy pulled out the parking lot and started making her way back home. The first words were said by her, "You're drenched." She didn't make eye contact with Perrie at all.
Perrie nodded and looked out her window, sighing, "Yeah, I am."
There was more silence.
Perrie took a breath, "Jesy, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I'm too drunk to remember what we were arguing about, but if it was me who made you upset, I'm sorry."
Jesy bit her lip, holding back tears. She looked at Perrie for second, seeing her face covered in raindrops and moonlight.
Jesy sniffled quietly, "I'm sorry, too. Let's just... forget it," She reached for Perrie's hand and gripped on to it tightly, "Are you alright?"
Perrie smiled softly and looked at their intertwined fingers before looking back up at Jesy, "I'm okay. Just please tell me I don't have to sleep on the couch tonight, though. I want to sleep next to you."
Jesy scoffed, "No, you aren't sleeping on the couch. If anything, I would be the one to sleep on the couch."
Perrie nodded, then shook her head, "I feel horrible, Jesy. I'm sorry for running off."
"Don't feel horrible, babe. Both of us are equally responsible for the stupid argument. I understand why you would run off, it's okay."
"I'm sorry for drunk-texting you."
"No, I'm actually really glad you texted me. I was so worried about you, I wanted you to come home." Jesy pulled up to their house and got out, not caring that she was getting drenched with rain. She walked around to Perrie's side of the car and helped her out, wrapping her arm around Perrie's waist.
"Jesy?" Perrie said, smiling a bit.
"Yeah?" Jesy responded, walking toward the door.
"It's raining,"
"Yeah, it is," She chuckled.
"Could we have a make up kiss? It's in the rain, it's romantic. We're both already soaked, there's no point in getting inside faster." Perrie said. She probably wouldn't have done something like this if she was sober, but she was being quite impulsive.
Jesy grinned and turned toward Perrie. She gently cupped her face and brought their lips together; a soft, meaningful, passionate kiss. The two melted into it, keeping it up for about ten seconds.
They smiled out of it and Perrie giggled, "Thank you."
"No, thank you." Jesy grinned. She walked to the door and opened it, walking inside. She walked Perrie to their room and stood in front of her. She took Perrie out her wet clothes and shoes and grabbed a towel from the bathroom. She walked back and wrapped Perrie in it, telling her to sit on the bed. In the meantime, Jesy went back to the bathroom and stripped of her wet clothes, then wrapped a towel around herself after drying off. She walked back into their room and got dressed in shorts and a tee, then continued assisting Perrie.
She took Perrie's towel and dried her off then grabbed her some comfortable clothes, getting them on her.
"We'll shower tomorrow," Jesy turned off the lights and got Perrie and herself into bed and under the covers. Instinctively, Jesy wrapped her arms around Perrie and nuzzled her cheek on Perrie's shoulder.
"Goodnight Jesy, I love you," Perrie said, kissing Jesy's head.
"Goodnight, I love you more," Jesy sighed contently.
With that, the two of them fell asleep peacefully, as if the argument never happened.
