The quidditch pitch was full of people of all houses. The "towers" of each house were completely filled with people of the corresponding colors. Screams of joy and encouragement roared from every side of the stadium. It was the first match of quidditch of the season, and everyone was enthusiastic just thinking about it. And now that the game was about to start, nobody could contain their excitement.

The first match was Slytherin against Griffindor. There always seemed to be some sort of rivalry between the smart and prideful Slytherins and the loyal and fearless Griffindors. Of course, each of the tow house encouraged their own team, but Hufflepuff seemed to mostly wish the victory of Slytherin while the house of Ravenclaw was divided in two different groups supporting the two teams.

Elliot had found someplace where he could see well without being attacked by his fellow Slytherins. He took place on the bridge between the Slytherin stand and Hufflepuff one, leaning on the handrail. He was observing his team. They were warming-up, almost ready to start to match. Elliott tried his best, but he couldn't quite figure out which of the green men was Tom.

The dark-haired wizard had been chosen as the team's seeker, after his great performance in the practices and try-outs. He was really fast after all. Elliott knew that most of Slytherin catchers were good, but knew nothing about Griffindor. He guessed he'd have to stay the match to see who was better after all.

"Elliott!" exclaimed a feminine voice behind him.

The blonde boy turned and smiled. Sybill was coming towards him, trying to avoid all the other students walking and standing everywhere.

"Mind if I watch the game with you? I lost my friends and I doubt I'll ever find them in this chaos."

"Of course not, Sybill." Elliott smiled and moved for her to come beside him.

Her brown hair fell in waved in her back and a hufflepuff scarf hung at her neck. Her cheeks were reddened from the wind and her hands were hid in yellow mittens.

"Who do you think is going to win?" the sorceress asked as she looked at the two teams.

Elliott shrugged.

"No idea. I hope Slytherin does, though."

She laughed. Elliott decided that he really liked the sound of her laugh.

"Of course you do. Tom's the seeker, right?"

Elliott nodded. "I think he'll easily be able to catch the snitch, but maybe Griffindor's seeker is fast too."

"Yeah, he is. His name's Tyler. He was the fastest last year, but Tom wasn't seeker last time, so we can't be sure what will happen."

"Well, he'll be mad if he doesn't win," added Elliott with a small smile.

Tom was capricious. If he wasn't first or the best, he could get really mad. On the moment, you wouldn't know that he was angry, but when he was alone with Elliott, he did not stop himself from cursing and insulting them.

"Then I hope he does. I wouldn't want him to put you through hell," said the girl.

Elliott didn't respond. He was surprised by Sybill's statement. Did she really mean it?

The girl suddenly blushed and looked away.

"I'm sorry! It's not like that I meant it!" Sybill said quickly. "It's just because you're my friend, you know?"

Elliott smiled at her embarrassment.

"Don't worry. I appreciate it. Thank you," he answered softly.
