"I wish I had a girlfriend," said dreamily Avery.

Lestrange nodded in agreement. Elliott took a bite of his sandwich.

"I know, right?" Lestrange sighed. "God, I knew I should've asked out that Beaux-Bâtons beauty last year."

"Yeah, me too." Avery sighed too. "Damn they were beautiful. Why did they have to leave so quickly?"

"Maybe because the Triwizard tournament ended..?" answered Elliott.

The trio was eating their lunch in the Great Hall. Tom had already disappeared when Elliott woke up, and since they had the day off Saturday, he had not yet appeared. So the blonde had decided to spend the day with Avery and Lestrange, the two boys which he was the closest too after Tom. After all, they had often hung out with the two sorcerers before.

"They still should've stayed," added Avery. Lestrange nodded again. "Though I don't speak French."

"We could've asked Elliott to be our interpret!" Lestrange exclaimed. "You speak French, right?"

"Évidemment. Comment j'aurais compris les explications des professeurs, si je ne comprenais pas le français? Des fois, vous me découragez beaucoup..."

Avery exchanged a confused look with the other English boy. Elliott smiled innocently.

"I guess that means yes," Lestrange said.

"Still, you're so lucky, Elliott. You got to see them every day." Avery sighed dreamily.

Elliott simply shrugged.

"I guess. I just got used to them. I mean, aren't they the same as the girls here in Hogwarts?" he asked. The two other boys looked at him like he had just insulted their whole family.

"Are you blind?" exclaimed Avery.

"They're nothing like the girls here! Beaux-Bâtons girls are goddesses!" continued Lestrange.

Elliott really didn't get it. Sure, the girls of his previous school were good-looking, but most of those at Hogwarts were too.

"Foreign girls really are the best. If only it was one of them who transferred to Hogwarts..."

Elliott frowned.

"I feel very loved, thank you," he sarcastically replied. Lestrange smiled.

"He's only saying that if you were a girl, he'd date you," the dark-haired boy said teasingly. Avery blushed deeply.

"You would too!" The other Slytherin countered, embarrassed.

Lestrange quickly answered with a witty comment and they started arguing. Elliott smiled and ate some more, listening distantly to their arguments. His eyes drifted around the Great Hall. He wondered where Tom had gone. He hoped he hadn't gotten into trouble after what they'd done last night.

Tom had managed to get the information from Slughorn that hocruxes were actually possible to create. Elliott had gotten all the ingredients necessary for the potion used in its creation. However, two major problems remained:

Where to make the potion?

And were they really going to kill someone?

They had avoided the dreaded subject in their previous conversations, but they would have to make a decision soon. Elliott was completely against it and wanted to try to modify the spell so it'd work without needing to commit murder, but he wasn't sure about Tom. His friend really looked like he wanted a horcrux, if not many. Would he be willing to pay the price...?
