Chapter 9: Words from Clairvoyant

DRAKE POV

Maaga akong gumising para ayusin ang mga gamit namin papuntang Metro Manila. Inayos ko na ang mga damit ko at aking pana.

Pumunta ako sa garage upang icheck ang isa kong kotse yung ginamit nina Mavis noong last day para bumuo ng grupo.

Pagbukas ko ng kotse may nakita akong notebook na nakausli sa baba.

Kinuha ko ito at napagisipang ibuklat.

Pagbuklat ko may nahagip akong  sulat at halatang bata ang may handwritten nito.

Parang nakuha ko agad ang sinasabi ng unang saknong. Ipinapahiwatig nito ang nangyayari ngayon.

Kami kaya itong seven stars na tinutukoy ng tula.

'First star leads the way,
By its sword corpses formed like a hay.
Cantor and Palux meet along the way,

First star? Si Mavis kaya to? Marahil siya nga. Pero anong kinalaman nina Cantor at Palux. Di kaya...

Parang nablanko ako sa ikaapat na saknong. Si Mavis parin ba kaya ang tinutukoy nito.

Lalo akong naguluhan. Si Mavis ang una, pangalawa si Jaicelle, ako ang pangatlo, si Ms. Leigh ang pang-apat, pang lima si Arvin, pang anim naman si Kuya Luke at ang ikapito si Micah.

Di kaya si Jaicelle ang dinedescribe ng ikalimang saknong. Parang labis na pagmamahal ang ipinapahiwatig ng saknong.

Ako na ata ang dinedescribe ng saknong. Aminin ko perfectionist ako at mataas ang pride ko. Pero lust at savor... haist! This is a fucking creepy shit.

Baka si Ms. Leigh. Pero di ko naman siya masyadong kilala.

Arvin's turn siya ang pang lima eh. Ay oo nga pala halatang may gusto si Mavis kay Arvin tapos may girlfriend pa ang tao. Tsk! Sino ba naman kasing nakaimbento ng pagmamahal?

'Because of that inconvenient promise,
Pride will takes place with no malice.
But its unrevealed past will suddenly reveal,

Kuya Luke! Di ko rin masyadong kilala ang taong to. Pero wait, brightest star? Marahil si Mavis ang brightest star.

'Control its emotions,
Or it will make motions.
Think for all the decisions,
Or make solutions'
