Harry's POV
I thought the interview went pretty well. My biggest priority was to make sure it wasn't all about Remi and I, but still tell our fans enough about her to make people realize how special she was to me. Sitting in the van on the way back we she seemed so happy, joking around with the boys and smiling. We got to the building though, and paparazzi were waiting outside the door. Her eyes looked at me in fear. I grabbed her hand.
"This is just the beginning." I whisper, "Don't worry. I'm here to protect you." I give her hand a squeeze and she smiles, kissing me on the cheek. Paul, Liam, and Louis go out of the van first, and then Remi and I followed by Niall and Zayn. As soon as we stepped out of the car it was pictures beyond pictures. I tried to get Remi into the building as fast as possible. Paps were screaming questions at us, but we either ignored them or smiled and waved. She held tight to my hand as we entered the building. It wasn't too bad. Paps have to keep their hands off, they're not like how some of our fans get. I turned her to look at me to make sure she was okay, and to my surprise she was laughing. The concern in my face went from surprise to confusion.
"One of those paparazzi out there asked me what my favorite color was." She cracks up. "Of all the questions in the world, he wanted to know my favorite color. That's so awesome!" I stare at her incredulously. Some of the paps out there were shouting really personal things out there, and the most she got out of it was that one of them wanted to know her favorite color? I was amazed.
"You never fail to amaze me." I say as we entered the elevator. She smiled.
"I don't think I will get use to that." She says.
"You might have to. They're kind of apart of this lifestyle." I tell her and she shrugs.
"I'm not saying I have a problem with it. I just don't think I'll ever get use to it. I've always been the kind of person who replies back to a random stranger asking me a question, it'll be weird to have to learn to ignore it." We step out of the elevator and walk to my flat.
"You might want to stay off twitter then." I say thinking about the fans. I can't stress how much I love our fans, but I know some of them wont take kindly to Remi.
"Oh no! I want to check it!" She says with her eyes wide. "It'll be a laugh!" I sigh and shake my head at her.
"Alright, but don't take it too personal. Eleanor had a really hard time dealing with some of the things fans say..." I trail off thinking about Louis being stressed out and angry with some of the things girls would say about her from time to time. The last thing I want is Remi and I to go through that. She waves her hand at me like it's really not a big deal, then walks over to the computer and signs on.
"Dear Remington, I think you're really pretty and if you make Harry happy, we are happy." She read aloud. I walk over and look over her shoulder. Then frown when I read.
"Stupid bitch! Leave Harry alone!" She laughs at me.
"Way to only read the negative ones. Here look, 'I'm so happy for Harry! Nerds make the best girlfriends' She's so right." Remi says, favorite-ing the comment. I smile, that's going to make a girls day. I look down to read some more and my eyes stop on one.
"I cant believe someone is dumb enough to date Harry Styles, doesn't she know he's a player? I hope she's okay with sharing" Remi laughs and I frown.
"Awhhh, babe. Come on. If I can't let it get to me you can't either." She says patting my cheeks. I shake my head. "So many more people are happy for us than they are hating. At least try to look at it that way." She always knows the right thing to say.
"Alright, well are you bored with twitter yet?" I ask her and she closes the window on the computer.
"Yeah," She smiles at me. "Lets go see what the boys are doing?"
"I was actually thinking we'd go out on our first official date tonight?" I ask her and her eyes go wide.
"Really?"
"Yeah why not? It's the perfect time. I want to show you off, and I've been waiting a long time to take you on a proper date." She smiles and turns her head away from me blushing, punching my chest softly.
"Alright, well, sounds like a good plan then. Where will we go?" She asks, her eyes filled with wonder.
"Anywhere you want." I say, "but I did have a place in mind."
"Nothing fancy, please. You know how I feel about the whole sappy romance thing." She scrunches up her face in repulsion. I laugh at it and poke her nose.
"Alright, it's not too fancy, but we should get ready, ay? I need to shower and what not."
"Yeah, I didn't want to say anything..." She trails off. I try to look offended and she laughs. "But anyway, sounds good, I'll go change out of this outfit. It's one of my work shirts. When I get back, don't expect me in a dress or anything!" She warns. I sigh at her.
"Geezus, you go public and all of a sudden all the desire to impress goes down the drain. I see how it is." I tease her and she rolls her eyes.
"Yep that's exactly how it is. I'm just get into some sweats now." She says sarcastically and leaves my apartment. I'm still laughing as I walk into the bathroom. I stare into the mirror and look at myself. Alright, time to look impressive.
