Remington's POV
Harry and I have been okay since that night. Actually, we've been more than okay. We've kind of been inseparable all holiday, give or take a few days where I was busy, preparing things for work on the new album. For the last week we have been all over the news and papers. It's scary actually. The other night my mother called me saying reporters were outside my house back home waiting for an interview. She told them everything she could. That she knew I was interning for PSYCO records, and that I was a lovely girl who was too good for any boy. My mother is awesome. It's really weird to get use to, but at least there isn't too much negativity. The papers actually went crazy with the picture of Harry kissing me on the steps in front of the arcade. Although some of the fans weren't too crazy about it. They thought it was my idea. Then called me an attention whore. I hated that I couldn't reply back to some of these girls. The other day I almost went mad with Eleanor about it. Eleanor and I have gotten really close since Harry and I went public. She knows what it's like to go through this. She's helped a lot, and threw everything we've become quite good friends. It's nice to have another girl around every once and a while.
Despite everything, I feel like I've adjusted to everything pretty well in the last week. Everything is so crazy and I can barely believe that this is my life, but I don't really think there's anything that could make me unhappy. On top of everything, tomorrow is the start of album work. Don't get me wrong, I love being on holiday with Harry, but I've been working so hard preparing everything I just cant wait to get started. I think I've said this to Harry about 900 times since we woke up this morning. His enthusiasm definitely doesn't match mine.
"I can't believe you're so excited about starting work for the next 8 months..." He groans as he takes another bite of his taco. We were out to lunch as our date today. Harry was craving tacos. I've quickly learned his favorite things. He's very typical.
"This is my dream Harry!" I say, again.
"Yep, heard you the first thousand times." He said, winking at me. I smile and run my fingers through my hair, looking away from him. A pap on the other side of the street takes a picture. I roll my eyes.
"Next time we go out, we should eat spaghetti. Imagine how they'd react if we recreated lady and the tramp." I joked. Harry choked on his food for a second.
"Can we please?" He said, laughing.
"No, way too cheesy. Plus, we aren't going to have time for dates anymore. Work, remember?"
"Why do I get the feeling that you as our boss will be a bigger pain in the butt than Simon?" He groans and I laugh.
"Because it's true. This project shall be my baby, and it shall be perfect." I say, matter of factly. Harry puts his face in his hands. "Oh come on! I'll be nice to you. I promise when you do really good work," My voice drops to a whisper and I lean into the table, he leans in as well, "I'll reward you." I wink and his jaw drops.
"I'm hold you to that." He says, kissing my hand. There's another picture for the paps. I shake my head smiling as the waitress drops the bill on our table. Harry throws some money down and we both get up. Harry's arm immediately goes around my waste and he kisses my temple, I smile trying to wiggle out of his grasp, but his hold gets tighter.
"You're ridiculous, just hold my hand. We've given these guys enough of a field day already." I say and he frowns, letting go of my waste and grabbing my hand. It's so sad when Harry isn't smiling. So I squeeze his hand, get on my tiptoes, and kiss him. His smile returns as we part.
"Alright, I can deal with this. Ready to go?" He asks cheerfully. I can't believe this boy sometimes.
"Yeah, but I want ice cream." I say as we walk out of the restaurant. The paparazzi already swarmed the front of the place as soon as they say us get up. So Harry, as always, takes my hand a little bit tighter and leads the way through the crowd. They take pictures and ask questions, but we don't answer. We both just look at each other and laugh. We get into the car, still laughing.
"I'm going to miss you laughing at them when you finally get use to this." He says taking my hand as he starts driving.
"I don't think I ever will, honestly." I say, smiling as I look through his CD case with my free hand.
"I hope not. You laugh differently when you laugh at them. It's so giggly. I love it." He lifts my hand to kiss it.
"Well thanks for getting me all subconscious about my laugh!" I say, stopping what I'm doing. I never realized laughs could change.
"No! That's not what I meant!" He quickly defends himself.
"I know, I know." I smile as I find a mix CD "You'll get it up when you're young and you want some?" I read the title on the cd. "Really Harry? Really?" I laugh at his guilty face as I put the cd in. The first song is We Are Golden by Mika and I scream in excitement. Harry laughs as we both start belting the words. The next thing I know we have the windows rolled down and we are shouting lyrics at random people on the street, laughing our heads off. When the song ends Down by Jay Sean comes on. "I lied about ice cream!" I shout. "Let's just drive around and listen to this cd please!" I laugh and he nods his head. We continue to sing until Lil Wayne's rap starts in the song and Harry literally goes nuts. I stare at him in shock, as he knows every word. "Pull over." I demand and he does as told. Once he puts the car in park I unbuckle my seatbelt and kiss him deep. I couldn't help myself. I'm completely ashamed to say that there's something about Harry rapping to Lil Wayne that got me turned on, but I think it did.
"What was that?" He said, shocked as I pull apart and sit back in my seat.
"I just... I really, really, really like you. Honestly, Harry you make me so happy." I said staring into his eyes, and he beams.
"Let's go home now, eh?" He winks at me and I smile shyly, biting my lip.
"Yeah." I agree as he starts the car up again and we drive home, belting out to more music just like before.
