Remington's POV
We got back to the studio in minutes and Harry actually had to unbuckle my seatbelt. I did not know how to process the situation, and it was like my brain was shutting down. Harry kept whispering things to try and calm me down, but nothing helped.
"Baby, maybe we can fix this. You don't necessarily need to perform these songs. You could just have this be your one hit. Don't worry about it until we have this all figured out." He whispered in my ear, taking my hand as we walked to Simon's office. All the boys came with, which was probably unnecessary, but I was happy they were there. We walked into Simon's office and he was sitting behind his desk looking very displeased. The boys and I pulled up seats and Simon sighed before he started talking.
"Remington, did you submit your song to the radio station?" He asked me and my eyes went wide.
"No! Why would I do that!?" I asked surprised he would think it was me who did it.
"Because I did not authorize this, and I did not give anyone the tape. I haven't even given any of your music to the artists here yet." He said, trying to sound calm.
"Simon, I'm just as shocked as you are to hear about this." I say, emotion stripped from my voice. If Simon wasn't behind this, how did my song get on the radio?
"Boys, Harry, Did you give the track to BBC Radio 1?" Simon turned his attention toward them.
"Why would I do that to my girlfriend without asking her first?" Harry said, getting defensive. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it, trying to get him to calm down. It doesn't come out often, but Harry has a temper, and I can't handle one of his fits right now.
"Then how is it possible that one of her songs would get on the radio?" Liam asked, thinking deeply. Simon rubbed his eyes and shook his head.
"I don't know, but I'm sorry Remington. This song has already hit number 4 on Itunes and it's only been out a few hours. You're now in demand. I can't just pull it from the air and tell the public just kidding." Simon explained, sounding very apologetic.
"What does that mean, Simon?" I asked, afraid to hear the answer. I had a feeling I already knew what he was about to say.
"I believe there's no preventing this, especially because you and Harry are dating. You're going to become a public figure, and I'm so sorry, because I know this is not what you wanted." He said, sounding very apologetic. Once again I became frozen as the realization of how much my life was about
to change sunk in. I started trembling and Harry pulled me close to him.
"But how did this happen Simon!?" Zayn asked angrily. By this point all of the boys were frustrated. Simon was speechless.
"Have you talked to Sal?" Harry asked, glaring. I pulled away from him shocked.
"Sal wouldn't do that. Sal knows just as well as you know how much I hate performing." I correct him, but Harry shakes his head.
"When you were in the sound booth today, we were talking and he asked me how long we've dated, and then he told me everything was about to change. I don't know about you, but I don't think that and this is just a coincidence." Harry confessed and I looked at him shocked. Simon looked pissed.
"Is that why you were acting so funny earlier?" I asked him and he nodded.
"I thought he meant you were going to break up with me or something." My eyes flew up as he said this.
"Simon you need to talk to Sal." I told him. Simon nodded his head. Picking up his phone and dialing a number.
"Get here now." Simon said before hanging up. Minutes later Sal knocked on the door and walked in.
"Is everything alright guys?" Sal asked as he walked over to us.
"Sal, did you give BBC Radio 1 a copy of one of Remington's songs?" Simon asked him. Sal hesitated for a second and then opened his mouth to speak.
"Yes. Is that really that big of a deal? She should be heard! She's amazing!" Sal said, defending his actions. The word yes barely left his mouth before Harry jumped up to punch him in the mouth. Luckily the guys caught him before he could do anything.
"WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!? YOU KNOW SHE DOESN'T WANT TO BE A PERFORMER! YOU JUST FORCED HER INTO THIS SITUATION! YOU SLIMELY LITTLE..." Harry screamed, trying to get away from the boys' grasp.
"HARRY!" I yelled, silencing him. I turned my attention to Sal, but all I could do was glare at him. I was already mad at him for earlier, when he insulted Harry. Then there was him deliberately hurting harry and not telling me about it, and now this?
"Sal, I'm going to have to fire you." Simon said over all the commotion. My head whipped around, looking at Simon amazed. "This was illegal in so many ways. It broke your contract, and put my company in jeopardy. And lets not forget the situation you've put Remington in against her will. You're dismissed Sal, and you will be hearing from attorneys." Simon finished and I think everyone's jaw was on the floor. Sal just stared at Simon with a look of disbelief painted on his face.
"You have got to be kidding me. I was doing her a favor! This is a good thing for her!" Sal argued.
"In your eyes! Not in hers! This is against her wishes! That's not okay! Now leave my office. Now." Simon said sternly. Sal rolled his eyes and walked out. Seconds later Harry was at my side hugging me.
"I'm so sorry Rem." He whispered in my ear. I was still so overwhelmed. I pulled apart from Harry and looked at Simon.
"Thank you for that." I said, and Simon nodded.
"This doesn't change what's going to have to happen next." Simon points out. I nod.
"I know. I'm going to become a performer." I sigh, leaning my head against Harry's shoulder. He stroked my hair and I begged him to take me home. Simon let us leave, after telling me that I should make the most of this situation, and try to look at it as a good thing, but all I could think about was how my life was going to change forever. The only positive I could find was that I had Harry.
