Adley.

"Wake up Ads, we're going out," Ashton whispered, shaking my shoulder.

"Going out?" I asked, my voice thick with sleep.

"Yes," he laughed.

"Where?" I asked, looking at the clock.

It was almost two in the afternoon, the latest I've ever slept.

"And why didn't you wake me up?" I added.

"You had a hard night I wanted to let you rest. And we're going to the library."

"The library?"

That hardly seemed like "going out" to me, but I was curious to see what his reasoning was.

"Well, while you were sleeping this morning, I did more research on that girl in Noah's pictures. And, all of the research led me back to the library's website for some reason. So, I figured that going there would be a good idea. Besides, we both need to get out of the house."

"Yeah, you're right. Let me just change and brush my teeth."

"Okay, the other boys are gonna come too if that's alright with you. Luke used to work there so he might be able to help us since I'm not very good with this stuff," he laughed.

"Yeah that's fine. I haven't seen them in a while," I said as I shoved off the covers and began my trek to the bathroom.

I ran a brush through my hair before throwing on leggings and a sweatshirt.

After the panic attack and the stress of everything, I was too exhausted to try and look my best.

I'd given up emotionally and physically, and everyone could tell.

"You look cute," Ashton commented, trying his best to lighten my spirits.

"Funny," I snorted.

"You always look beautiful," he responded, lacing his fingers in mine and leading me downstairs.

"Okay, Ash, whatever you say," I huffed, unconvinced, as we made our way out to the car.

The ride to the library was filled with a comfortable silence.

I didn't have the energy to start conversation, despite sleeping until the afternoon, and Ashton wasn't one to push.

"I called the boys last night and explained everything to them so that they wouldn't ask any questions."

"Thank you," I smiled, getting myself out of the car.

We walked hand in hand through the doors and to the back of the building where Luke, Michael, and Calum sat with laptops and newspapers spread before them.

"Damn you guys don't mess around," Ashton joked, pulling up chairs for the both of us.

I took a seat in between him and Luke.

"So what exactly are we looking for?" I asked.

"Just search Rachel Riggs and a ton of things will pop up. I guess it was a really big incident like three years ago," Luke instructed before returning to his own computer screen.
