Chapter 21

Bruno POV

I came to New York and settled in a hotel. The guys were teasing me the whole way about Dani, especially Dre. When I told him everything he was a little mad at me, why I didnt said anything about her to him, he was mad because he's my friend but also a bodyguard. He needs to know about such things, but it all happened so fast and I did not think that I need to tell him that. 

I wanted to call Dani and see how she is doing but I don't want to freak her out. She told me many times not to worry but I don't know why I cant help my self. I have some bad feeling that I cant shake off. Thought that I called Jaime on the way to airport to  go see how is she calmed my nerves little bit so I decided to take a nap because I didn't sleep much last night and call her when I wake up. Tomorrow is a big day. I have sound check in the morning, then photo shoot after that and then red carpet at Met ball and performance with guys later that evening.. 

Dani POV

Jaime and I picked up her son in school and then took him for soccer practice and after that went at her place. Her older son Marley and husband Jesse were all ready home. They nicely greeted me and then I helped Jaime clear away the groceries that we bought on the way home. She did not want my help with dinner but I just want to feel useful. Maybe I can learn something new from her and we can get to know each other little better. 

"Jaime what are you cooking?" I asked. 

"For now, nothing. First we need to make the marinade and let the meat sit for little bit into it. Then we´ll make chicken adobo" I watched her closely while she made marinade. I never heard for chicken adobo and she said that is delicious and her mum always made this when she goes in Hawaii. Maybe I could try make this and surprise Bruno and Ryan with dinner when they come home. "This is it" she said putting meat in the fridge. "Come with me" she said to me and I followed her in her bedroom. She opened the closet and start pulling some clothes on the bed. Jaimo came into the room and jumped on the bed next to me. 

"Mummy what are you doing?" he asked Jaime.

"I´m trying to find some clothes for Dani." she sweetly answered to him.

"Why? She does not have her own clothes?" he was full off questions. 

"No sweetie. She cant be in uncle Bruno´s clothes forever." she said pulling some more clothes on the bed.

"Dani why are you in uncle Bruno´s clothes? Are you his new girlfriend?" he asked me. I think I turn in tomato when he asked me am I Bruno´s girlfriend. 

"Jaimo!" I think Jaime felt little embarrassed. 

"It´s ok Jaime" I said. "No, I am not his girlfriend Jaimo." I said to him with smile. 

"Do you want to be his girlfriend?" This kid does not give up.

"Jaimo! Go, do your homework before dinner." Jaime said to her son. 

"Ok mummy" He said and got up from the bed. "I´d like you to be uncle Bruno´s girlfriend. You´re pretty" he said to me and run out from the room. I did not know whether to laugh or fall into the ground how embarrassed I felt. 

"I´m sorry Dani if he made you uncomfortable" Jaime said to me and I just smiled because I didn't know what to say. "Here are some clothes that you can try on and please don't say anything. These are my old clothes that I don't wear anymore and this will be great excuse for shopping." she said and we both laughed. 

"Thank you Jaime, you´re too nice to me."

"It´s not a big deal" she smiled and left me alone in the room so I can try clothes.
