Caroline's Possessive Mate!

Chapter 22

I have officially changed my outfit 5 times, I can't decided what to wear. Do I go casual, Dressy, festive? So many options. Leo of course is absolute no help, telling me if I went in just a towel I would look stunning, but then after thinking it through, told me I better wear more than a towel. Finally choosing some dark skinny jeans, and a black lace shirt, cut in a v on the back, with a bow at the end. I left my hair in it's natural state, wavy and every where. And chose to go simple on the makeup, simple winged eyeliner and pink lipstick.

"Are you sure, you don't want me to go with you? I mean I know everyone, I can just as easily introduce you to some awesome people." Leo has been spending the last hour trying to convince me of the great value he would be, if he tagged along.

"Honey, that's just it, they're your friends. I just need some me time, time to meet some people on my own, and really get to know the pack." He sighed finally realizing that there was no way I was bringing him with me tonight. Would I be more comfortable with Leo there, yes. But would I talk to other people, and really try to make friends with him there, no. I tend to lean on Leo now, something I didn't really do before. Before Leo I was perfectly fine going on my own and making friends, nothing has changed, I'm sure I will be fine.

"Well you know if you have any problems, or if anything goes wrong, I'll be right here. Waiting for you in this big ole comfy bed, all by myself." He winks and tries to look seductive, which leads me into a huge giggle fit, one that leaves me with a scold.

"Oh my big old bad wolf, what would I do without you." I walk to him, kissing him quickly on the lips before turning to leave the room. I was stopped by a hand grabbing my wrist and was slung up on to the wall.

"My little mate, that small peck just won't due." His lips attack mine, his body molding itself against mine. I wrap my legs around his waist, holding myself up against the wall. His tongue lightly tips against my bottom lip, asking for permission, in which I denied. I could feel Leo getting frustrated, he lightly bites my lip, not enough to hurt but enough to cause a deep moan. My mouth opens in delight and he plunges his tongue in my mouth, and we quickly start a dance, fighting for control. I let Leo have it this time. After what seems to be only a second, Leo pulls away, leaving us both panting.

"Well unless you would like to attack me again, I think I'm going to actually leave this time." He smirks, but I can still see the black ring around his eyes.

"Oh Little Mate I'd love to attack you again, but your right you better go before I loose control." He winks, but I take that as my hint to go.  Walking out the door, I find my way down stairs and attempt to find my way outside. I walk around for what seems like a long time.

"Caroline, there you are, I've been looking for you!" Katy screeches at me from the kitchen, she grabs my hand and lightly pulls me behind her.

"Sorry, I have no idea where anything is in this house yet, I forgot to ask Leo how to get outside." She laughs and shakes her head.

"Come along, there's tons of people waiting to meet you." She pulls me out onto a balcony and leads me to the sound of music. We walk for a few minutes into the woods, and all the sudden there's an opening in the midst of the trees. A huge dance floor is set up, and a raging fire in the middle of everything. There's a dj, and tables of food set up. Katy leads me right through the crowd of people, saying random hellos. I just follow her, not knowing another person here. All the sudden I felt a hand grab hold of my wrist and pull me to a stop, I turn around and come face to face with a very handsome man. His hair was a light brown and his eyes were a beautiful hazel. And though I was sure I didn't know this person, there was something oddly familiar about him.

"Well Hello Beautiful, I don't think I've seen you before. I just came back from a short trip and would certainly love your company." He winks at me and pulls me quickly to his body.

"Get off of me you perv, who are you?" I push my way out of his arms and quickly slap him across the face.

"Nick, what do you think your doing? This is Caroline, your brothers mate." Katy yells at Nick, a look of confusion passes through his face before he realizes who I am.

"Oh My God, I am so sorry. I didn't know who you were. I'm Nick, Leo's younger brother. It's a pleasure to meet you Caroline." I nod and receive his hand, giving it a quick shake.

"It's fine, and nice to meet you too. I'm sorry for slapping you. Let's just not let your brother know how we met, he's a bit on the jealous side." He laughs and nods in agreement. We continue talking, Katy joining our conversation. Nick's actually a lot like Leo, not in the crazy possessive way, but really sweet and funny.

"Well Nick, even though I'm sure Caroline would love to spend the rest of her night talking to you, she really needs to meet some other people, see yah later." We say our goodbyes, and I follow Katy through the rest of the crowd. She introduces me to so many people, all being friendly. I try to keep up, but I'm quickly exhausted and tempted to go back to the room to Leo.

"Caroline this is Laci, and Emily." She introduces me to a redheaded, green eyed girl, who was Laci. And the girl I'm assuming is Emily, had medium Brown hair, with bold bangs.

"Hi, nice to finally meet you, I'm Laci. If you ever need a shopping trip, or just girl time please find me. Maybe sometime we can hang out." Laci gave me a wide smile, and I instantly liked her.

"Sure that sounds great, I don't know many people here, and would love to have some girl time." We continue and after a few minutes Emily says hi, she seems a bit shy. We all make our way to the dance floor and end up grabbing a few beers. By the end of the night I'm totally drunk and absolutely wore out. I danced with pretty much everyone, even if I didn't know their name. Pretty sure I grinded up on people, who didn't exactly like to be grinded on.

"Girls, I believe we better get Caroline back to Leo, before he kills us for getting her drunk." They all laugh in agreement and lead me back to the house. Laci and Katy help me up the stairs to my room, and when they knock on the door Leo instantly opens up.

"Caroline it's almost three in the morning, where have you been? Are you drunk?" I start laughing, which makes Leo even more angry." Thank you for bringing her back, you guys can go back to the bonfire now." Both girls nod and disappear pretty quickly.

"Oh Leo, I had a wonderful time. Met so many people, even met your long lost brother. It was a blast. I actually have friends now." He nods along with me, while trying to help me to bed. Covering me up he snuggles next to me, he wraps his arms around me waist, and I press my face into his chest, inhaling his scent.

"I'm glad you had a good time Caroline, you shouldn't have got drunk, but you had fun. Go to sleep sweetie." He kisses the top of my forehead softly.

"You know, I'm absolutely in love with you Leo." I quickly kiss his lips, and snuggle into his chest.

"You don't know how much I love you Caroline." I nod against him, but quickly fall asleep.
