Caroline's Possessive Mate!

Chapter 10

When I woke up the next day my body was in so much pain. I tried to move but with the cast on my leg and the pain of my broken ribs, I stayed in the same position. I turned my head to see Leo laying next to me, at first I thought he was asleep but then his eyes opened and looked in mine. I could see how worried and hurt he was, he blamed himself for what happened to me. I didn't blame Leo one bit for what happened, he had no control over what Jack did. I mean how could Leo ever know that my EX was going to go all psycho and beat me up? My voice had came back but it was really low and weak, the doctor said I should have it completely back by the next day.

"Leo baby, I can't stand it when you look at me like that. You have to know that this isn't your fault in anyway. You couldn't help what happened, and i'm just glad you were there to save me." My voice was soft but I knew he could hear it.

"Caroline look what he did to you! If I hadn't have left you, none of this would have happened. I promised you that I would take care of you and I let you down. I'm so sorry, and I can understand if you never forgive me." The heartache in his voice brought tears to my eyes.

"Leo I don't and won't blame you for this! But if you want to piss me off keep on blaming yourself." I just wanted to forget all about what happened and move on. I haven't let myself think about the things that Jack did to me, cause I was afraid I wouldn't be able to take it.

"I love you Caroline and I'm so sorry, I will make this up to you." I nodded not wanting to talk about it anymore but there was one question I really wanted to ask.

"Leo what did you do to Jack?" I didn't really care what Leo had done to him cause whatever he did Jack deserved it.

"I took care of it and I promise Jack won't be bothering you anytime soon." Leo's voice was full of hate and I kinda got scared to ask what he did to Jack exactly.

Leo's P.O.V (From the Party.)

I walked into the party's house to get Caroline a drink, but I just couldn't get over the fact that Caroline newed Will. I mean did she sleep with him? Did they date at one time? Every time I think of someone touching my little mate besides me I get beyond pissed. I guess I need to talk to Will later and figure this little mystery out. I grabbed Caroline a red cup of beer and began pushing through the people to get back to her.

When I stepped outside to go to the spot I left her at I realized she wasn't there. I turned my head side to side searching every part of the outside looking for her. What if she left with Will? I will rearrange his face if he touches her. I went through every part of the outside and when I didn't find her I went inside to look for her. All the sudden I heard a quick scream and panic ran through my body. I ran up the stairs and kicked open the first door to a bedroom. The room was empty so I went to the second which was also empty. I heard some movements and someone yelling in the third bedroom and I ran to the door. When I tried to open it I realized the door was locked so I kicked it down.

Instant anger ripped through my body when I saw my mate laying on the ground with blood all around her. Then I saw the bastard that was ontop of her leg, breaking it. I ran and grabbed hold of his neck slinging him off of her and into the bedroom wall. He got back up and I realized that this sick psycho was a wolf. Before he could even think about changing I had his neck in a tight choke hold and I started to take his head and bang it into the wall. He started to black out or so I thought cause all the sudden he took his leg and kicked me back into a dresser.

"Who do you think you are? Coming in here and disturbing me and my mate like this?" Yelled the guy and I laughed as I stood up ready to rip his heart out.

"Your mate? Are you crazy? Caroline is my mate and let me tell you this, you will regret the day you ever laid a hand on MY MATE!" I got myself up and walked over to where the idiot was standing. He was about to say something but I just through my fist back and punched him square in the face. Blood started to run from his nose but that didn't stop me from punching him a few more times. I felt the anger rising in me and I couldn't stop it when I turned into a wolf. I grabbed hold of his neck with my jaws and within a minute he was dead.

When I realized that he really was dead I changed back and very gently picked my mate up, I carried her home and called the pack doctor. He cleaned up her scratches and her face. When he was finished checking her out and putting the cast on her leg, he told me that it would take awhile for her to completely heal and that I just needed to be patient with her. What the doctor didn't understand was I would be anything Caroline needed, this was my fault and I will never leave her side again.

Caroline P.O.V

I slept most of the rest of the day, the medicine they gave me kept me pretty doped up. But everytime I woke up Leo would be sitting there watching over me and answering my every command. I know he hasn't slept, or ate, or done anything for himself. I think it's going to take him longer to get over this then it is me. I mean yeah Jack has done some damage, mostly physical but with Leo, he's going to have some issues with forgiving himself. I guess i'm just going to have to show him that i'm fine and we can get through this together, or he's going to end up driving me crazy with the act of being my slave.
