clarke had fallen asleep to her favorite movie, so she woke up in a good mood. something she hasn't felt in a long time. she got up and got ready for her personal hell, school.

people on the internet always would say that school is hell. but do they know what clarke was going through? did they know she wasn't able to talk to anyone without being pushed around? she felt lonely in a room full of people.

before she knew it, the whole school knew about her problem. probably because the teachers were being so obvious about it, asking her if she needed anything or if she was okay. when she walked through the door of her first class she heard people talking about her; "that's the girl with adhd," or "it's the control freak." clarke kept her head down and walked to her seat, not really "ready to learn."

after class, her ap bio teacher, mr. kane, pulled her over for a talk. he told her that she was doing well in class. he's nice, clarke thought.

"thank you sir. i'm trying my best." he smiled and nodded.

"have a good day clarke!"

"you too."

clarke headed to her next classes, which were easy. but there were always her distractions. she wouldn't stop tapping her foot in her classes. it made her teachers annoyed but because they had her note, they didn't comment. but her classmates didn't have to care, so they would tell her to shut up, that she was crazy. she has heard worse, though.

at lunch, she sat down by herself, as always. she just wished she had a friend. anyone. clarke threw away her lunch, she didn't have an appetite that wouldn't feed her feelings. she just wanted to go home. she pulled out her phone when she sat down again. clarke plugged in her earphones and put on her playlist on spotify. the first song that came on was p!atd's 'this is gospel.' she smiled as she opened an app. she'd never been happier ever since all the fnaf games went on the apple store for mobile. sure an appetite couldn't feed her feelings, but music and video games did.

when clarke got home, her mom wasn't there. but a note was, reading she was called for the emergency room. it was her chance, to talk to the girl next door.

the girl. the girl labeled 'crazy.' the girl she was supposed to 'not talk to.' but she needed someone. and clarke thought, maybe, what if, the lonely person needed someone too?

clarke took her backpack with her out of the room, walking towards her neighbor's door.

the blonde knew she was socially awkward. well of course she was, she never had a friend. she didn't know what it felt like, and she hoped she wouldn't seem as labeled as she was.

shaking her head, clarke knocked on the door. she was nervous, but not scared. she didn't fear the girl as she was supposed to.

the door opened quickly after she knocked. standing in front of her was a girl with the greenest eyes she had ever seen. she had dark, brown hair flowing down her back, so purely. she had light makeup on, and she also wore a smile. there were tiny crinkles under her eyes when she grinned. she was wearing a collared white tang-top with a black bow tie. she was muscular, a tattoo rippling along her biceps on each arm. the girl was wearing black jeans and white convers. clarke's eyes traveled up and down her body, marveling her.

"hi." the girl's smile didn't fade, she looked into clarke's eyes softly.

"uh- h-hi." clarke stuttered.

"do you need anything?" the girl asked, "and if you were wondering, your mom left. she was in a hurry, she's okay, i'm sure."

why was she being so nice? "um- yeah i got that, thanks. i was - um, lonely. i -"

"yeah, you just moved here, i saw the trucks. well your mom's a doctor, so she won't be back in a while. and hell, it would suck just sitting alone doing nothing. you can come in if you like."

clarke's eyes widened. "uh- really? i would love to, um, i've never had anyone say that to me before."

the other girl cocked her head. "i'm sorry. and i'm glad to help you out, i'm quite lonely myself." she moved aside, letting clarke pass.

something in tbe blonde's head made her wonder, how did she know all of this? she didn't realize she walked forward without thinking.

clarke almost forgot about her adhd and she could barely walk forward and when she did, she tripped on the floor mat in front of her. thankfully, she didn't fall and make a fool out of herself because the brunette caught her.

"i know, adhd sucks. my past lover had it, and would complain about it, so i know."

"thanks, uh, h-how did you know-"

the girl already walked away towards her kitchen, "i'll make you some cookies, clarke. is chocolate chip okay?"

clarke was slightly shocked, but she just though everything was a coincidence. no one could read minds, stuff like that wasn't real. "uh, yep, thank you, um, never got your name?"

the other girl turned around and smiled, "i'm lexa woods, your new friend."

clarke smiled back, her eyes sparkling, "hi lexa woods. i'm clarke griffin."
