the school day was the most quiet it has ever been. no one talked to anyone; deaths really shock people. clarke still couldn't believe it happened. thins have gotten bad before in other neighborhoods, but a classmate? murdered? it's not something that happens to a lot of people. at first you don't cry about it because you're shocked. and you may not even know the person, but you still cry because you've seen them around, and you won't anymore. even if that person gave you a black eye.

as the blonde left school, tears leaked from her eyes. she still was in shock from everything. the worst part is that it was real. he was murdered. as she went home, she looked up more about his death. her stomach churned as she found out his intestines were missing from his dead body. she closed her eyes and shut her computer, putting her head down on her desk.

her mom wasn't home yet, so she went next door. she needed to let out her feelings to someone.

"hey clarke-clarke? you okay?" lexa's tone changed from light to worried as she noticed the redness of clarke's eyes. clarke hugged lexa tightly before she responded, and lexa stroked her hair gently. "what's wrong, c?"

"murphy... john murphy... he was murdered..." clarke inhaled sharply and wiped her eyes.

lexa led her in the house and onto the couch. "isn't that the guy that bullied you?"

"...yeah. i still... can't believe it..." she choked out and put her head in her hands.

"hey, it's okay. these things happen to people all the time, and you're gonna know a few people that die young. this world is a bad place, clarke. lucky for him, he's safe from it now. okay?" she stroked her back comfortingly.

"okay... yeah. thanks lexa."

"of course. just rest her for a while. just relax, okay?" clarke nodded and rested her head on lexa's shoulder and closed her eyes.

"hey lexa?" clarke mumbled sleepily, making lexa smile.

"yes, c?"

"thanks for being my friend. i've never really had a friend before, someone who actually cared for me. so.. thank you." her hand started to shake, and lexa noticed, so she laced her fingers with hers.

"anytime, clarke. i'll always be here. anytime you need anything, just get over here." green eyes looked down on clarke protectively. "i'm here."

"you're a kind hearted person." clarke started drifting off to sleep, her legs naturally curling around lexa, her head on her chest. lexa laughed and put her arms around her.

"i'd give you my heart, clarke." lexa whispered and clarke fell asleep peacefully in her arms. lexa smiled widely at the blonde. "literally."
