thankfully when clarke's mom came in her house, her daughter was curdled up on the couch, looking at her phone.

"hello, clarke."

the blonde looked up from her phone and gasped when she saw her mother, "oh my god, you're finally home... what- happened?"

"a man was attacked. i couldn't save him."

clarke stood up and walked to her mom. "wha- what happened to him?"

the mother of the worried girl shut her eyes and sighed. "something i'd never want to see again. his intestines were ripped out, totally gone. and it isn't the first time that happened. after reasoning with parents of people who have died from the same incident, the detectives inferred that the killer is attacking anyone who is kind of ... a bully."

clarke nodded, "doing the right thing the wrong way."

"right, they're looking around the city for the person."

"okay."

they ate dinner, and didn't really talk. there was only depressing things to speak of; they'd either talk about clarke's school or abby's job. neither was a good topic, so the both of them said their goodnights after dinner and went separate ways.

and clarke could barely sleep knowing there was a crazy murderer on the loose.

before school started the next day, the blue eyed girl's mother was gone, so she went to see lexa. she was happy to see her again, even if it was only one day. that's not weird, is it?

"hello, le-lexa."

"hi clarke! um-" she cocked her head, "shouldn't you be off to school?"

clarke put a hand on the back of her neck. "yes, but- i don't really um, have a ride?"

lexa smiled and pulled out her car keys from her pocket, unlocking the car.

"thank you so much." clarke smiled at the pair of green eyes staring at her.

"anything for a friend, right?"

when they drove there they listened to melanie martinez's album, while singing to it as loud as they could. when they got to school, clarke pointed out some rude people from her school.

"so there's murphy, finn, ontari, and nia. i really wish they would like, move or something."

lexa sighed. "well, if they cause any trouble with you, let me know. murphy, finn, ontari, nia." she turned to clarke and smiled widely. "i'll remember that."

clarke nodded and gave lexa a small hug. "goodbye lexa."

"bye clarke. have a somewhat decent day."

clarke giggled and went off to class. before she left she waved the other girl goodbye, who copied her actions. when everyone was far enough away, lexa sighed.

"clarke i swear, if they hurt you, there will be a bloodbath."
