Tears welled up in my eyes, as I kept running down the street

Tears welled up in my eyes, as I kept running down the street. I didn't know where I was going, but I didn't care. I couldn't care less if I was going to get run over a car. The only thing that mattered to me was Soda.

I didn't want to care about Soda. How could he do this to me?

I knew I shouldn't have let him in. I thought he was different.

I stopped in the middle of the road, taking deep breaths. I couldn't breathe, I just kept running and running.

I look around to my surroundings and notice–this looks nothing like where I was before. There were fancy cars like Mustangs, and beautiful, big houses.

Where the hell was I?
I start to return back, since I know it's getting dark. Of course I'm the idiot I am, and I forgot my jacket. It's getting colder and soon enough my teeth are chattering.

I realized I was crying the whole entire time. I stopped in my tracks on the sidewalk. There were pedestrians, staring at me–a lost, broken, shattered girl with smeared mascara and tears of heartbreak.

If I was tough and cold, this wouldn't have happened to me. None of this. The best way to not get your broken is to pretend you don't have one.

I continued walking, until I reached the Curtis house. I didn't want to go in, but I was so cold and I needed to pee. And I was hungry as hell, not to mention I was tired. I was gone for hours.

I knock on the door, looking down at me feet, praying that it's not Soda.

Thankfully, Johnny opens the door and opens his eyes really wide.

"Violet! Where were you? We were looking all over for you, we thought you died or somethin'! You scared us have to death." I kept looking down. He lifted up my chin.

"What happened?" he asked softly.
I just shook my head, looked into his eyes and he nodded his head in understanding.

"He's not here. He went to go look for you. It's just Pony, Dally and me," he whispered, holding my hand in comfort.

I smiled and walked inside. I sat on the couch next to Ponyboy.

"Where have you been? Holy crap, don't ever scare us like that again," Ponyboy said, wrapping his arm around me.

Dally was smoking a weed, in the corner, just watching my every move.

"He broke me."
