The whole gang has been mad at me since what I did to Violet.

I honestly had no idea what had gotten into me when I said those things to Violet, where I chose her over Sandy.

I didn't tell the gang, but I broke up with Sandy. I did it for Violet. And I did it for Johnny (man) because he really didn't like her either. You always gotta do it Johnny (man).

Sandy treated nobody with respect, just the people who she wanted to get with. She's dating Bob now.

I miss Violet. I don't know why I let her go, I love her.

Darry and Ponyboy couldn't even look me in the eyes, that's how upset they were at me.

Nobody in the gang talked to me anymore, and honestly I would do the same thing if I were them.

Not even Steve–my best friend would talk to me.

I destroyed Violet.

I want her back. You can tell how lifeless she is. She's so pale now and she looks like she doesn't eat anymore. I heard Ponyboy sayin' she doesn't have any emotion.

I had to apologize to her.

I walked into the DX, after fixing a car.

Soda looked guilty, which he should be. He destroyed Maya's best friend. She's always worrying about Violet.

I haven't told Maya yet, but I love her.

I haven't talked to Soda in days, and I didn't even check how he was feeling. He didn't have anybody to go to.

I know how it feels when you have nobody. Soda was my best friend, and I had to be there for him.

I walked over to Soda, which took him by surprise. I noticed he had big eye bags and his eyes were red. I've never seen him look so tired.

He usually had some perk in his tone, you could see when he was his usual self. He was depressed. Soda was a happy person. All the time, or at least he tried to be. What happened to him?
I've never seen him look so sad.

"Soda," I said softly.

He perked up his head and nodded.

"You need to apologize to her. I miss you man. You've changed. You really screwed up, you screwed that girl up. And that's okay. We all make mistakes. I hope she understands. But you have to apologize. We miss you. She misses you. I miss you. It might not seem like it, but its true. You need to go fix your mistake. Come on, let's go," I said while jumping over the counter and giving a hug to Sodapop.

He lightly cried and hugged me so tight.

I missed my best friend.

He told me how he broke up with Sandy, which I was happy about. I knew his heart belonged to only one person and one person only–Violet.

We left the DX, locked up the doors and everything, 15 minutes earlier because it was a slow day anyway.

We began our walk to the Curtis house and catched up on everything. You could tell he was getting happier–but he was still drained.

He opened up the fence gate.

We walked inside, and immediately saw Violet conversating with Maya.

They both looked up. I smiled at Maya. She nodded her head. Maya and I have been planning this, for them to get back together. At first, she wasn't for it and was angry at him, but she eased her way.

Maya nodded, letting me know to prepare him.

"Steve, I don't know what to say." Soda looks at me nervously.

"Say anything. You love her." I slapped his back and took Maya's hand and left the room, praying, that they would get through this. Their lives have been miserable without each other.

cliffhanger bc I like making people suffer:) hehe. anyway, i was reading Tex by se hinton our queen, and it's so good. I love it. can't wait to watch the movie.

anyway,, my parents don't let me stay later than 9-10?? like it's winter break like come on, wyd. #hispanicmoms amirite lol

I hope you all had/ are having a great winter break, mine has been really boring, I haven't gone anywhere or done anything. it's pretty sad.
