Val's P.O.V-(After retrieving his phone.)

I hop off my bike and I enter my house.

"MOM! I'M HOME!" I yell, as I walk up the steps to my room. As I open the door, to my surprise, mom's already there, sitting on the brown leather couch. "Oh, hey ma. Didn't think you we're in here." I say as I sit on my bed.

"So, what'd she say?" She asks, a gleam in her eye.

"Oh, she has a test to study for. She said she wouldn't be able to. But she said maybe another time. At least when her test is over with." I assure her. God, I hate lying to my mother. She nods.

"Alright honey. She sounds like a charming girl. I can't wait to meet her some day. Well, i'm going to go down stairs and read." She kisses my temple. "Love you."

"Love you to mom!" I call as she walks down the stairs. I let my back hit my mattress. I slowly pull my phone out of my pocket, and I turn it on. And I instantly smile at the sight I see. It's the photo Chance took when I was tucking Max into bed. He must have sent the picture to Max. And during the time she had my phone, she sent it. And put it as my lock screen. I unlock my phone and find another surprise. It's a picture of us at the pizza place. It's a selfie of her smiling with me in the background, inhaling my pizza. With sauce dripping down my chin. My only question is, how did she know my password? Then I suddenly feel the urge to talk to my mom about Max. I hop off my bed and I walk down stairs. I walk into the living room, and I plop myself next to my mother.

"Hey honey, what's up?" She asks as she puts her book down. The one thing I admire about my mom is that she would stop whatever she was doing, just to listen to you.

"Well since you can't meet Max yet. I want to know if you want me to talk about her?" I ask.

"That sounds wonderful! What does she look like?" She asks, excitement growing in her words.

I laugh at how much she wants to know about Max. "Well, she has wavy black hair. Greenish eyes, ummm..." I trail off. I never really took a good look at Max. I know the simple stuff. Like her hair color, and her eyes. "She's rather short. But she's not that short where she can't ride the cool rides at a carnival. That's all I really have for what she looks like." I smile sheepishly.

"Well, what's her personality like?" She asks.

"Well...she's a really nice person. But she can be a...female dog when she want's to be. She's one of most the funniest, weirdest, craziest people I have ever met in my life. But when she want's to get to business. Things get serious fast. She can fight really well. And she is in love with strawberries, no joke." She laughs at my comment. "But she does have a boyfriend." Her smile falters after I said that, weird. "But she never talks about him. She is never on her phone! It's like he doesn't exist! Or she lied to us about him, so we wouldn't try anything on her, that makes since...right?" I ask her.

She shrugs. "I ain't Max." I groan out loud then my phone dings. It's the group chat with Max and the guys. What the hell do they want?

May: Three

Me: Two

May: ONE!

"Mom, i'm going over to Tyler's!" I yell.

"Ok, love you!"

"I love you too!" I shout, as I close the front door. I quickly hop on my bike and I drive to Maxes, good thing I live a neighborhood over. After maybe seven minutes, I reach her house. Yes! I beat her! I park my bike and I patiently wait for her arrival. Another three minutes, I see her bike come into view.
